Riot why dont you just redneck the clash and make it all non system based rather than just canceling? Give us the list of players we face aginst show us the brackets and allow us to face the opponents in a custom. Then later give rewards based upon the winners.
You can simply check match history for the players wins.
It would just be like any normal tournament but it wont be a pr nightmare for you.

It would take WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too long doing it this way. To have the match history of thousands upon thousands of players manually checked.
Yes, lets have riot manage hundreds of thousands of games manually. Im sure that will all work out fine. It would take longer to hand out the rewards than to just cancel with a delay.
