Riot constantly asks why long time players quit playing league.

I am currently going into the state of quitting league. After basically playing it nonstop for a few years. Only this season have i lost my love for the game.

Why exactly is this? Runes lore and blastcones. Let me explain.

Runes were a stupid concept that became unbelieveably great when riot reduced their cost to a minimum value. You could experiment with runes and that made it fun. Hell a underground group of native american junglers have a cracked version of league for tournaments that still has the old rune system. These runes made small changes that you would feel the impact of if you ever tried unoptimized rune pages. Mundo jungle before the new season is a monster compared to the new mundo jungle.

While most players just use mobafire runes, mains never did. They would constantly have weird rune pages that fit their playstyle. This made the champion feel like its their own champion with a playstyle differnt than others.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is blastcones. Riots idea of fun. Rather than it being something you get to choose and make a playstyle around, blastcones are forced on you and you play around them. In reality all it does is allow overly mobile champions to be even more mobile causeing problems for everyone that doesnt fit this niche. The rest of the plants are fine.

To solidify my point that you as an differentiated player player have been sucked out of league, all you have to do is look at lore. While only about 5% of the community reads the new lore (everyone knows the old lore because it was great) of those few minority you constantly attempt to piss them off. Varus.

Outside of that riot has slowly sucked the champions fake connection to the player out of the game. What would you rather hear urgot say "life is pain summoner" or "random bullshit". Clearly you would like the champion to acknowledge you exist. A freind of mine that mains sona actually plays her so much he talks to her for some reason. So clearly if your champion acknowledges you, you feel a connection.

This is truely the biggest problem. The lack of diversity is a much bigger problem than balance. If we cared about balance we would be nonstop bitching about the difference between melee and range that makes range better than melee no matter what. But riot hasnt ever listened to the league community on this as such it will never get changed.
