Should I Give Up On Jayce?

I have 1,000+ games played on Jayce top lane across 7 accounts. 3 accounts I have are in plat, 2 are gold 3, this account is banned and finished in gold 5 season 6, and currently my only account that isnt banned is gold 4 with plat 4 mmr.

The problem I am having with this champion is that ever since his armor pen nerf, he just isnt the same. His attack speed is jack shit when trying to farm creeps, and the only way to reach his full potential is to go full Lethality runes on him. Which will make it insanely hard to farm.

The only thing im wondering, is what champion is better than Jayce to play top lane? I only mained him because I heard if I mastered this champion, then I can win lane 99% of the time. And with 1k games played on him, I feel like I have reached the maximum that I can do with him and yet I am still only a platinum player.

So should I quit maining this champion? And if so, what champion is better than Jayce for top lane? I was thinking maybe Kayle. Thanks.

I'm super hung up on the fact that you apparently have six banned accounts.

It's probably not your jayce play. You might need to improve your macro play. If winning lane was all you needed to win, Renekton would be pick or ban.

jayce has few counters in lane because of his obscene bullying and ranged poke. aside from ekko there's little anyone can do.

unfortunately jayce has little impact in teamfight unless he builds an offtank or push build. since he has no ult, his tools limit him to catching people out and poking from far away.

i'd suggest a slightly tankier build with a zzrot portal and see where that gets you.

Hi. I am a diamond Jayce player and I still manage to smash lane and solo carry a large majority of the time I play Jayce. I would be much higher elo if I had the dedication to play one trick or two trick with him, but sadly, I like to play more than just 1-2 champions. I can nearly guarantee that a player can hit masters off of one-tricking Jayce as long as you know how to play him properly.
