I may have a solution to fix Fizz without making him too unviable

While me coming from DoTA and HoN see no problem with the concept of untargetability (think Puck and Bubbles), my friends who play quite high-tier ranked games have told me that his Playful Trickster is an issue due to it having too much.

You have the big AoE, the slow, the massive damage, and then short cool-down towards later levels. So here is what I was thinking, that can be done to add more skill to him while not taking away too much from him.

Playful: Mana Cost reduced from 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 / 130 to 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 Base Damage reduced from 70 / 120 / 170 / 220 / 270 (+0.75 AP) to 45 / 60 / 85 / 110 / 145 (+0.4 AP) Cool-Down increased from 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 / 8 to 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 Damage radius increased from 330 to 350

Trickster: Second activation now costs mana equivalent to 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 Damage radius reduced from 270 to 250

I believe with the aforementioned changes, now you have to pick between damage and utility. Also Trickster (which does more burst) becomes harder to hit.

What say you guys?

I see no reason to nerf Fizz at all. He's a viable AP melee champion. Those are not in great supply right now, and he's got clear weaknesses to go with his strengths.

Umm... leave the balancing to Riot please... they're bad enough, they don't need any help fucking up champions. >.>

Massively nerf the damage on his E because reasons, reduce the radius of damage because reasons, and split the mana cost between his two jumps (which would mean that he could use the untargetability, slow and damage for half as much mana, spending the rest of it on a second jump only if he needs it) because reasons.

I say that if Fizz does need a nerf, what he needs is the base cooldown of his E increased at later ranks. I.E. 16/14/12/10/8 becomes 16/15/14/13/12. If he needs nerfs at all.

Another thing, make Q not apply on hits.

W should have grievous wounds only upon the activation of the ability, the passive is disabled whenever the spell is on CD.

Remove the missing HP damage (He's an assassin that has the easiest time getting fed, when was last time when you saw a non fed fizz?), increase the damage on hit, much like Kassa W.

This way he has actually to spend time and use a basic attack instead of smashing W-Q to delete anything with a lich bane.

He's an assassin and he should count on his combo with ult to 100% kill things, instead he's always been easy to acquire kills with just few spells.

Did you just nerf the dmg by 50% scaling by 40% And increased cool down

You are a big idiot
