They just don’t want to play that role. Whether Riot makes it easier through positional matchmaking or forces them to play for a single rank, some people are just selfish jerks who throw a fit when they don’t get what they want. As long as Autofill remains necessary to keep queue times reasonable, such behavior will be part of the game. The best solution is to keep making the less-played roles more fun—and less frustrating—to reduce the position-choice disparities necessitating autofill.
