Grasp on pbe not just favouring fighters

Cho will benefit the most, sion and the tanks with the best scalings will benefit more than some fighters also. i think Mundo, volibear and trundle won't get much out of the adaptive scaling. But Apparently this is meant to favour fighters. 1 under looked reason for fighters to be underperfoming is without building full tank(I don't mean half damage half tank like most people)or being hyper mobile you get blown up in a team fight as a melee.

Every 4 seconds? It take but a moment to cast an ability, then auto between. I get you but going 4 seconds and no autoing in a team fight as a tank while your ability are on cool down? With Cho, he needs to auto because of his E.

What about Maokai? He needs to auto for the heals, how much damage could he get if he stays alive long enough?

It stacks with every attack. Tanks like cho and sion won't be getting off enough autoattacks to benifit more than fighters.

Wrong. Cho sticks like glue when played correctly, and you only have to hit "something" before 4 seconds are out to keep the buff going. In lane, all Cho has to do is keep attacking minions in between Champ pokes. And Cho has up to a 375 on Vorpal Spikes, that increases to an effective ~ 600 range when he's big. Furthermore, he's the hardest to kill champ, so he will easily have fights where he's all in for 10-15 seconds, stacking 3-4 times at least.

I had a cho fight as Leona last 90 seconds in Preseason. No Joke. 15 Stacks, and my team was technically superior, but he had a healer team and we couldn't shut down the healer without risking ourselves dying.

It's not based on attack speed. it's based on a 4 sec renewal after 8 seconds in combat (4 sec to start, 4 sec to proc)

item 3115 item 3001 item 3146 item 3151 item 3110 ta da.

Although if grasp stacks with every attack, I'd expect to see more stuff like MasterYi with mostly full aa on-hit or crit and like 4k hp. Everyone would love that (insert sarcasm here).

Grasp change was already Reverted. Riot just needs to create a page for bruisers specifically.

The thing is that i see it not bad for them either while people cry and don't understand the change, for cho and sion it will still be less good cause they scale with health. Sure, long fights mean some damage but a cho who wants to gargoyel in and kill in a fast rotaion the adc you don't realy have the chance to use the 4 seconds. On the other side chos damage scales with health and that was what old grasp got you. Not only made it cho, sion and co tankier but it also increased chos Ult damage from the start while graps needs the 4s stacking.

Cho will benefit the most

How so? It is supposed to help in long trades, Cho just gargoyel+R and he's out.

It feels like after the removal of fervor, Yasuo, Fiora, Irelia, Tyrndamere got huge hits and got nothing in return. Fiora balances out with the minor stones. But no keystone truly fits her. And Resolve tree is utter crap to use just for the Grasp..

Fighters generally don't need AD/AP, they typically want AS and on-hits, with AD just being one of the on-hits they could gain. There are exceptions to this, but most of them are currently happy with Electrocute, Phase Rush or Kleptomancy.

If Riot wants to make a Resolve keystone which favours fighters they need to do something like "your auto attacks deal bonus damage based off your HP which stacks per attack", rather than just being time gated. Something like this would favour bruisers because tanks generally aren't going to have the AS to use it. Also this rune should be introduced as a 4th keystone, not as a replacement to Grasp, grasp should be positioned as an alternative option for tanks and juggernauts more than fighters IMO. Removing diversity of tank keystones to help bruisers just kicks the problem down the line.

Trundle would abuse the hell out of the new grasp if they ever actually ship it.

He has a strong AD ratio and AA reset on his Q, a massive AS steroid on W to capitalize on the AD he's getting, and the heal rolls seamlessly right into his pseudo drain-tank sustain play style. New grasp is made for someone like Trundle.

That said, I still think you're right that Cho, Maokai, Sion, and a couple others would abuse it far harder.

Most tanks have poor scaling and attack very little. its also gonna scale poorly for fighters and tanks because the only semi viable attack speed options fighters have are item 3153 (which had it attack speed lowered to cater to adcs for more ad) and item 3124 (i prefer its sustain passive at 50% rather than i being at 30% on a different item with another condition to activate taking magic damage.)
