MMR and ELO mean nothing, and riot knows it.

Im new to league, Ive been playing for about 4 months only. Ive been trying to get out of bronze, and the best part is that riot gives you the middle finger and says Elo matters...No it doesnt. If Elo mattered my bronze 2 account would not be getting a platinum player on the other team 5 out of the 12 times I played recently. Its pure BS and riot wont fix it because I am not in their precious Esports.

If this is normals, it's because normal mmr and ranked mmr are independently calculated.

If this is ranked, it's because it's preseason. Nothing matters.

If you duo with diamonds and plats in normals a lot, your mmr is inflated.

MMR (elo) in Normals is separate from Ranked MMR. It doesn't matter what your Rank is when you play Normals because the MMR's move independently of one another.

If you're talking about the game you just played...there was no Plat player on the other team. That's impossible. You will be given free promotions if your MMR is that high. If they said they were Plat they were either lying or talking about another account.

I've been getting plats and diamonds in my games when I'm silver. For one, don't think about their rank. Only think about how well they're doing. Being a silver player I've shat on higher ELO players my fair share of times.

Now if you want a straight reason for why this happens it's because their normal mmr is way lower due to likely not playing anything but ranked this past season and probably climbing from something like silver.

Just stop complaining, if you're upset about higher ELO players in your game then you aren't willing to get better. I say this because I think to myself, I'll get there some day so why not play with and against what I'll be playing with regularly in the future.

Your CS is Bronze - Silver level, your vision control is Wood Division V if I've ever seen it. http://wardscore.loltools.net/?name=KILLERFI5H&region=na saying ELO / MMR don't matter is correct, they only matter if you play below the level you think you are... in which case you need to increase your level of play.
