Who has more CC?

So with Alistair's (or is it Alistar?) mini rework, he now has three hard CC abilities and they are all his basic abilities.

So it got me thinking, has the Minotaur dethroned the diver in as the king of CC?

So who has more CC. The Cow or the Big Daddy?

I think you might want to clarify who "Big Daddy" is.. Took me awhile to realize you meant Nautilus lol :P

But Naut still wins due to every part of his kit having CC that also has low CDs. Not to mention he can survive thanks to his shield just by being tanky, and his ult can't be dodged so it's a secure CC unlike Alistar who can still miss his combo.

But who knows, we haven't seen everything yet o: So maybe Naut might be overthrown once the Ali changes go live haha.

But...they are live.

I don't follow.

I just found the changes you meant. You're talking about the Triumph Roar and Trample changes yeah?

Yes.

Ah okay, cool. I thought those were with the cycle with Elemental Lux lol. Totally my fault.

But yeah, even with the changes I don't think Ali can beat Naut when it comes to being a CC king.

Reasons why:

Ali has to generate stacks to get a stun on his AAs, whereas Naut doesn't. While Ali's last longer than Naut's, Ali can't stun multiple enemies in a team fight unlike Naut.

So if we look at their abilities, Naut has 4 methods of hard CC (AA stun, Q stun/pull, E slow, R stun/knockup), whereas Alistar only really has 2 and 1/2 (Q knockup, W stun/knockback) unless he can get enough Trample stacks to stun 1 opponent to make it a full 3 CCs.

So really, Ali is better than he was with more utility, but he doesn't compare to the sheer about of reliable CC Naut has when it comes to teamfights or locking opponents down. Not to mention it's harder to dodge Naut's CC than it is Ali's since Naut's are either AOE, lock-on, or AAs. Only Naut's Q is easily dodged, but even then Naut can use his Q for more than just CCing enemies.

I hope that makes sense. Sorry about confusing you earlier D: Was totally my fault.

The way I see it, Alistar can CC one person for Longer than Nautilus can. But if Nautilus procs his passive on multiple people during a fight, and hits multiple folks with his ultimate, his multi-target CC potential seems higher.

Hmm. I can see that. Though I would argue that Alistair needs less time to set up a group knock up.

Dredgeline > Passive > AA reset with Titans Wrath > Riptide > Depth Charge is a nasty single target combo. As far as Teamfighting goes, I think you wanna Depth Charge > Dredgeline the stunned Target > Passive > AA reset with Titans Wrath > Riptide, and then proc your passive on every champion when available. OR Use either one of these combos on whoever is diving the backline, but if they get to you(r carry), you can Passive > AA reset with Titans Wrath > Riptide > Dredgeline :P

It really depends on what combo you're using xP

Leona is currently fighting over the title of CC Queen with Sejuani. I assure you that it is an epic battle.
