I really think it comes down to what your partners really need. Square up with them and ask them what they want from you. Personally, Jungling has a Venn Diagram of playstyles: Heavy on Gank, Heavy on Farm, or a blend between the two. In the champion select, know what your teammates are going to play. Look for what the team needs, not what you want to play. I've often made that mistake at support where I should've picked Thresh when instead I picked Morgana, or at top lane when I picked Nasus when I should've picked Urgot. If your team needs a tank, then play a tank like Udyr or Malph. If your team wants to snowball hard, then pick an assassin or a marksman, like yi or evelynn, or kindred or graves. If they want you to go evelynn, make them give you a good reason too other than "Its op" or something similar. Make them think logically about what they want their team comp to be to win. Like Poke team comp, Teamfight team comp, wombo combo team comp, split-push team comp, etc. Even if its on champs that you wouldn't consider your best, put your best foot forward, but lean more towards what the meta is. Right now, evelynn seems ok for solo-queue, but statistics show that the best junglers in patch 6.9 are kindred, nidalee, and malzahar, but I wouldn't mind putting amumu, gragas, or sejuani up there either. If you want to win, make your team care about champion select, which most people can brush off easily.
