Why Do People Even Honor People?

What is the point of doing this? Hardly anyone uses it that much unless you completely carry your game, then you will get like 1 or 2 team work honors.

I think what OP means is he wants to feel rewarded or like his upvotes actually matter. Sure, I get teamworks plenty. But other than the notification, I don't see how it matters. I have a few ideas.

Ribbons come with 5% IP boost Each Honorable/teamwork etcc gives you a chance at a monthly/weekly lottery Maybe even something WAY cool like every 50 honorables gets you a mystery skin or something. who knows. just spitballing ideas here.

Riot DID promise a rework to the honor system. Here's to hoping it feels like a real "kudos" when we honor someone in the future.

I use the honor system frequently.

What are you trying to accomplish? Nobody wants it removed: It's not doing any harm.

I use to honor all the time, but now I forget.

So now when people honor me I feel bad for not honoring them back.

I kinda feel like riot should put in a way to honor people in your match history and way to report them there too.

I'm having a hard time understanding the point of this post, tbh.

I do it when someone plays exceptionally well or is really nice.

It's the least you could do as payment for me carrying

At this point, before they remodel how the system works, it feels more like a reference to me in terms of team cooperation and my overall behavior. o.o

I honor when someone has good teamwork or plays smart. When your top lane Riven dies 5 times in lane, finishes BC, and then builds full Tank and protects the 11/2 Ashe, I'm honoring them. When your Blitzcrank makes amazing plays in lane and then flashes to block the Fizz ult that would've killed you, I'm honoring him. When someone points out a flaw in your build and actually explains why you build X item instead of Y item instead of just saying "OMG YOUR SO STUPID KYS," I'll honor them.

I agree though that it isn't used that much it seems. If it actually provided someone for the people who got them, then I'd probably be more inclined to give them out. It's like with Mystery skins. I had an ARAM game where I carried as Annie and never died the entire game and someone gave me a mystery skin for that. If they had just given me a "Teamwork" thing, I'd still appreciate it, but the fact that every time I use that skin I think about that games makes that gift seem more important.

I have a habit of honoring my whole team on every win. Given how often I get feeders, trolls and assholes, it's always nice to give props to a team that I can win with.

I usually honor the winning team except for particularly rude players (like everyone who says ez)

I think honors should just tie in to hextech or something.

Like reaching X amount of honors gets you a Key or Essence or something.

If I shit on my laning opponent I'll honor them as a thanks lol

In the new client, we lost our publicly view-able top 8 in progress champions, we can't see how many games we won anymore, even if there are thousands of them. We can't see our mastery score on champions unless you hover over them, and the ranked season border is just a joke now.

Honor points are the only thing left that you can see on people's profiles which they worked hard for and getting them removed would be such a waste of hard work.

If they get removed, every single profile you go to will look exactly the same.

I use it plenty, for pretty straightforward reasons.
