Imo footwork should just be replaced

Soooooo Warlords Bloodlust was super cancerous, hard to balance, and overall killed diversity in the old system. Sooooo why did we bring it back in the first place? I get footwork is a bit different but the idea is the same: free sustain and ms at all stages. This kills all diversity for ADCs like Caitlyn who cant use any other rune as well as footwork. Not to mention free lane sustain with no downsides is pretty cancer. It's not fun to play against as it just feel like your trades are meaningless. combine this with second wind and d shield and LOOK! Youll never get poked down. Its also already showing that its a balance nightmare. Its been changed majorly THREE TIMES already.

Its just overall a boring, uninteractive, unfun rune that should have never made it to the new system.

Issue is less so footwork is good as much as lifesteal options in game arent that attractive for ADCs (BotRK requires specific buildpaths and BT is awkward on its own) and other keystone options for ADCs were either nerfed (PTA) or are hot garbage (Tempo.... seriously the 1.5s activation time murdered that rune on release)

I agree. Lethal tempo and PTA are more interesting and actually influence your playstyle more. Fleet footwork is just "more stats"

If it were where you HAD TO USE IT ON A CHAMPION, it'd be fine, but sadly it's one of the FEW runes where they think "Oh it's fine to give someone a burst of move speed and health just from hitting anything". They even gave it crit chance AND are(or have) reduced the AP Ratio. Like any AP champion has used footwork well since it's creation. In my opinion, it's similarity to Phase Rush is too much. I'd rather they just combine Footwork and Phase Rush together to make one rune. Remove or reduce the healing, make it so any ability or auto attack on an enemy champion gives the proc, and voila, one rune space for two runes, more champions can use both, but ADCs won't ONLY use it because they could only use it on champions, giving Lethal Tempo and PTA room to be used. In addition, Ahri can now get move speed as a CHOICE, but it won't work just from casting Q, and it won't work every time she casts it due to a cooldown, plus it'll lower her burst since she won't have electrocute.

....

Hardly any ADCs took Warlords after it got nerfed to where it was at the end of it's run. Most were taking Fervor of Battle, at least until the Ardent meta came around.
