Let's Talk About Dark Harvest
It's really, really good at only one thing: single-target burst. There's already a keystone for that, in the same tree even: Electrocute. Why should there be another keystone that does nearly the exact same thing as another? What's the point of having both when they're nearly identical?
Consider how minuscule the difference is that Electrocute deals damage after 3 different attacks on the same target, and that Dark Harvest scales but completely frontloads it with autoattacks. Compare them to two keystones from Sorcery that are also similar to each other: Aery and Arcane Comet. Aery triggers off of anything immediately and it increases the strength of team heals and shields. Arcane Comet on the other hand only triggers when an ability is landed, it's in an AoE, it has a delay so it's avoidable, its cooldown is reduced from landing more abilities on enemy champions and it doesn't pump heals and shields like Aery can. These are two very different keystones that just so happen to both do damage. Electrocute and Dark Harvest are nowhere near as different as these and it's a shame.
I'm seeing jungle Dark Harvest Rengars do nothing all game but farm and mess around and then ult carries mid-to lategame as a sort of raw damage check: can he kill them before they or anyone else can do anything about it? I blink and then 80% of a carry's health is gone - whether the Rengar was fed or not - and I honestly can't blame the Rengar. Why not run it and do nothing but this all game? He's so shoehorned into using it because Dark Harvest asks nothing of the player but to farm in order to kill targets. Other assassins can take it, but other assassins don't frontload their autoattack into their burst damage like Rengar does. Why not run it until it's changed?
What I'm wondering is that, despite there being 2 sustain runes in the Domination tree as well as only 2 damage runes (unless you count Eyeball Collection), is why in the world is there no keystone in Domination that gives sustain? Heck there's a keystone in Precision that heals and only two runes in that tree give sustain (if you count Overheal). There's only one in Resolve and only two runes in Resolve give sustain! So why is there not one in Domination and why is the current Dark Harvest taking its place when only a few members of the cast even want to use it? Maybe Dark Harvest could heal instead of just dealing raw damage - that would be cool. Just so long as it's not so heavy on the damage that it's all certain assassins care about. If it were a "heal as you engage" tool that would be unique and also neato.
If anyone at Riot is reading: y'all have edited Rengar so many times, and nerfed things because of Ezreal so many more times. Don't beat around the bush this time. Change Dark Harvest into a more generally useful keystone from the niche thing that it currently is.
