It's becoming really frustrating to try and get the kill on a minion, only to have another teammate kill the minion, making it so the minion doesn't drop it.
I would also like to suggest a possible change, making it so Teammates that are near Zoe that kill a minion will make the shard spawn as well, as I'd rather not steal farm if I were playing support Zoe.
^This. Zoe is verymuch not a 
user. So sniping random farm is weird as a support.
I get she is meant to be a midlaner. But either allow us to target minions with pings( Because a Thresh pinging a cannon minion is clear. But Zoe pinging a cluster of 3 grouped up minions is not), or allow our adc to see it.
Btw, the champion spotlight says that allies can see the balloon, but enemies can't. Is it bugged, or are we just working with incomplete data here?
I think they do see the spellthief. I was seeing wierd circles above minion heads.
Teammates DO see it. I was playing Zoe earlier and a teammate mentioned the balloons.
Unfortunately, even if allies are very aware of how Zoe's Spell Thief shards work, they'll still deny you from acquiring them on a regular basis. I know from experience. I have 400k Mastery on Kindred and still have people steal my Scuttle Crab or Blue/Red buff as I spam them with pings to fall back from it.
