How to kite jungle mobs

Hello. I've been interested in taking unusual/less-powerful junglers into the jungle to try out new strategies, and screw around a bit (not in ranked). The problem I have been having is that a lot of junglers have problems in terms of defenses.

I have heard that it is possible to kite jungle mobs, but I'm not sure how to do this. I'm not sure about the timing, or how to do it properly.

1: Do you move back after an autoattack? I try that, but the mobs often hit me anyway.

2: Do you move immediately after a monsters attack?

3: Do you move immediately before a monsters attack?

I've mostly been trying to get it to work as Annie , combining my favorite champ and my favorite lane.

It's much more difficult to kite mobs without taking damage since they incorporated the aggro-meter. Nowadays, kiting jungle creeps is more about taking less damage than no damage at all. Unless you can clear them really fast, they're going to need to hit you every once in a while or else they'll just reset

Also, certain champions have an easier time at this than others; Kindred and Nidalee have relatively low cooldown dashes that they can use to dash around without losing aggro, for example.

I'm no expert jungler, but I'm pretty sure you just want to move in-between your auto attacks to try to minimize the time the camps are attacking you and instead moving to catch you. This won't work on Gromp, because it's ranged. Also you can time hard-CC (or Krug buff) to attack right before they attack, to cancel their autos.

Also if you have Gromp smite buff or red buff, you can move a good bit between attacks and they'll continue to take dot damage. That can help early clears. Won't be as fast, but you'll take a lot less damage if you're only attack enough to keep them burning. Or like with Rammus and Annie, while their shields are up you want them to be hitting you, cause they'll take return damage. But while shield is off and on cd, move around a lot more while you're waiting out the cd, then return to allowing them to attack you while the shield is on.

Its impossible to completely avoid damage while kiting. The whole point of kiting is to buy time for your abilities to come off cooldown if you are using a jungler that deals most of their damage with abilities rather than auto attacks. Kiting in the jungle is very similar to kiting as an ADC or other ranged champion. You should be moving between every auto attack, thereby forcing the jungle monster to waste time moving towards you rather than attacking.

graves is the best because he can push them with his autos. but some jungle creeps just attack once they are in range to attack while moving. its hard to completely kite them. especially that they troll and reset sometimes. the two buffs are easy to kite. the rest of them are kinda hard. idk why i find it that way but they are big and slow and take forever to turn around so i just move and then go behind them or something

**tl.dr: ** you only kite mobs to help your attacks and spells to cooldown, you will still get some damage, if you go too far without them hitting you, they'll reset.
