Add a TitleI actually dont understand the appeal

to players who live by the meta and play champions they dont actually enjoy. I find it hard to believe the xerath/mundo mains just came out of the depths of hell to plauge the game for patches. Last time i checked, people play games for fun. I cant remember the last time i loaded up mario a fighting game and said oh wait my favorite character in 3rd strike isnt meta anymore i gues I'll play Sven (noone likes Sven)

Here's a possibly better example. Say You want to get into Blizzard play testers and you overhear that currently they are searching for people that playing **Yaoi ** (gay) Eroge Visual Novels (for fuck all reasons). Everyone else starts playing as many of them as they can so they can maybe get in to play testing.

How many of them do you think are actually enjoying playing Yaoi romance games so they can make a quick dollar and then restart the cycle at other jobs occasionally finding one they like?? Wouldn't they be better off playing something they enjoy and going to a job that maybe ain't searching for that? Would you REALLY join in??
