I thought it was pretty obvious but I guess not, as I see this post all over the boards. Not that I'm someone with the power to confirm or deny anything, but I would be very surprised if this is not about Sion. It matches up with everything we already know about Sion, only adding that in his dying act, he took Jarvan (II? III?) with him.

That's kind of what I thought, I just haven't been sure how much they are changing the timeline or advancing events. For all the lore up to now, J3 has been alive and kicking with Xin Zhao protecting him and J4 biding his time in the League until he needs to assume power. If it is J3 that was taken out by Sion, then I think it is time for J4 to take the throne. No more playing in the League for him - if the League is even a thing.

Don't worry, its not. In this Canon Sion died fairly recently I imagine. Probably just a short while before Swain came to power. Presuming he is still in power.

Not a sion player. I only rarely see him in game.

Sion is a really fun champion, but his match ups make him very....feast or famine.

On one hand, Sion beats basically EVERY melee champion there is. No question. The reason for this is his E. Every second into the game he goes, the strong her gets. Not just by levels or anything. His E grants him so much early ad. He will just out damage the other laner. Then he gets shield or stun, followed by another point in his E, then the other ability he has gotten yet. his two other abilities guarantee he wins every trade. You can bully them off farm, and start in on stacking health. They have to get really aggressive, and need some early ganks, or they will be very far behind very quickly.

But if they have a ranged match up, Sion will probably be something like 0/8 by 20 minutes, or have no farm.
