Why does new ryze have a low winrate?

So title. I've played a couple of new ryze matches and he's very fun. He feels strong and good, but that's just single target. He did lose his ult "GOD MODDEEEE" bs but he still feels pretty fcking annoying with his point and click snare. I don't understand why does he have a low winrate seriously. He's out for like 4 patches now. Can anybody tell me pls?

EDIT: Holy shit this thread has gotten some attention! Thanks guys. Also reminder: He's been out for 4 patches, so the argument that's he's new isn't really legit. Also what I'm trying to say is he feels op and really strong, but somehow he has a very bad win rate with is super weird. I've played 5+ games on him and did super well on all 5+ games on him. He's fun. His combos aren't really hard to learn IMO.

Mainly because he has a really high skill cap and everyone is trying to figure it out right now. those who understand it do really well, but the 90% just starting to get it wont have that much success

Well kiting with his free ms is really easy. And QEWQ is really the only combo you'll need other than stacking e then proceed to q someone. His early before he gets tear is super annoynig though. I go oom because IT'S SO FUDGING HARD TO CS WITH HIM!

Many people find hi E wave clear to be very strong, Ryze actually counters my beloved Malzahar so hard with his E aoe clear

No but his Sustained constant damage is one of the strongest, a drawn out fight against Ryze can be devastating

His burst is pretty strong right now IMO. He def can delete and his aoe is okay, his dps is good too. Now the question is:

Why the fck is he sitting at ~40% win rate like this? It makes no sense, unless half of the ryze players are tyler1 smurfs LOL

Because Ryze is weak.He isn't new champion.A month has passed.His play rate only 5%.He needs buff.

I did say he came out for 4 patches now? Most champions consistently ryze, he hasn't really gotten anywhere near 50% after 4 patches dude

Old ryze wasn't really piano seriously. You fck up one thing during combo and you're done. Even if you miss q or something with new ryze you can still make up for it with uber low E cooldown.

no he was actually a piano and by piano i dont mean baby piano(headbutt) i mean delicate piano but still a damn piano. New Ryze usually wont 100-0you if he misses his rotation and if he does you have a breathing room to disengage old one didnt have he just W you and then you just stood and die while he rotated spells

But seriously speaking, what part of him makes him unable to win games? His lack of aoe damage? I think you're right, but really, I'm not talking about old ryze. I'm asking why isn't he strong when he actually feels strong.

Because this patch is still dominated by high range burst champions. Ryze gets kited. He is still good only vs melees.

He has strong combos, and a derpy ult. (Which has a stupid interaction with item 3157 ) The problem is you actually have to think when using his combo, so his skill floor goes up. So like Azir his win rate will be rather low, just because he's hard to play correctly.

Azir doesn't have a low winrate because he's hard to play. He's been out for almost 2 years and almost only mains play him at this point.

That can and should be said about numerous other champions, but yes Azir has one of the highest skill floors. So if you want to play him, and play him well it's very difficult.

Cassio or Yasuo are difficult champions but their win rate? Azir has low win rate because Riot doesn't like popular competitive champions.

They attempt to keep LCS games from getting stale. More often than not, they do it wrong. Morde is a great example of this. The second they noticed he went on near 100% pick/ban they acted.
