It mostly bothers me how Darius isn't even in a bad spot, has recently been in the spotlight, and still gets buffs already.
Meanwhile so many other champions have seen nerfs in weaker spots, not had the spotlight for longer, or been left guttered for substantially longer than Darius was just "not strong. "
It's like if a champion is popular and played a lot (often due to being a new release or rework), riot will give them unnecessary buffs and keep them strong. However if a champion with a cool theme becomes popular because of a meta shift and NOT a rework, Riot assumes something must be wrong and promptly nerfs them to oblivion. Then wonders why the meta goes stale and people leave.
Riot claims they don't enforce a meta, but by now that's BS. Stop buffing meta champions whenever they fall out of favor, and nerfing non-meta champions whenever they come in to favor. Newsflash, a champion can be widely liked and still not played often due to the meta, they're not necessarily OP just because they become popular alongside a 52% win rate. There could be a LOT of players that want to play someone but know it's not a good time to.
