How exactly does the Red/Sweeper's/Oracle's Lens function?

I understand that the red trinket line has the ability to reveal invisible traps, wards and champions, but I still don't understand how the trinket disables traps. For instance, I have used the Lens on Teemo's Noxious Traps so that I could destroy them. When they get revealed, I notice that they get stunned icons on top of them. At that moment, does that mean I can walk over the traps without triggering them?

Here's the rundown:

Invisible Traps are disabled. You may walk over/through them and they won't activate.
ie:
traps will still get you as you can see them without aid.
Affected wards won't reveal enemies, but will continue to give "false" vision.
This allows a jungler to 'stun' a ward so he can run through it and not give suspicion that he was there.
Has no effect on Pink wards what-so-ever.
Reveals all wards and traps except Pink wards.
Note that throwing your sweeper over a bush won't tell you if there is a pink in that bush. You must physically get vision of said ward yourself.

I believe it does. I think it's also supposed to disable vision from wards when that happens though I think I've always still had vision until they were destroyed so maybe it's only noticeable on pink wards?

To the best of my understanding, traps aren't actually disabled -- you can still walk over a Noxious Trap even if it's revealed. I'm curious to hear about this further as well.

My observation is that wards vision is extremely low when hit with a red. When I can see things with my ward it is usually only the champ attacking the ward and only if in melee range. Otherwise the ward is dead. I also know that I have stepped on shrooms when they have been red spotted, though I'm not sure if the upgrade makes it so you can walk over them without problem.

As far as I can tell, wards affected by a red trinket behave as if everything around them was in a brush. So you lose all vision normally, but just like if a champ attacks you from inside a brush, the champion is revealed if they attack the ward.

Invisible traps will behave differently depending on how they were revealed. If they are hit by the sweeper directly (have the stunned icon above them) then they will not activate until the effect expires*. However, if you reveal the trap with the Oracles portion of the Oracles lense, it will be visible, but still active, and can be triggered.

*Note: this is very handy when fighting Teemo and Shaco. Often times these champs will lay down a shroom/box before or during combat and try to lure you onto the trap while you are fighting them. If you use the red trinket, it disables the trap and you can ignor it and keep attacking Teemo/Shaco. (While the effect lasts, of course.) Note that you have to disable Shaco boxes BEFORE they trigger, once they start attacking (and fear you) a red trinket will have no effect on them.
