Jax is getting out of hand with the back doors all because of one item

NERF IT PROPERLY ALREADY

More like rework that ball of stats, aka jax.

the only stat he has is his passive and the bonus armor/mr from his ulti
ball of stat is old udyr for example, has nothing to do with jax

You're forgetting the 2 free lichbane procs on him. Can't even itemize against him properly, adding in a fucking rageblade. Fuck that champ.

lich bane proc has never been stats, is jax op? maybe, is he a ball of stat? get a mind nerd
just give it -3 AD

This.
The only champions that are using the item are the ones causing problems. If you nerf this item, each of those champions becomes extremely balanced. The only champion who may get the short end of the stick on this is Kayle, and that's very arguable. However, with a small quality of life buff to her E (reset autos) she wouldn't miss it tremendously.
If they nerf jax over this item.. .smh man
: LOL REKT! YOU GUYS SO NOOB!!
Me: Sell Rageblade, then talk.
: Silence...
^ I swear. This is every Jax players ever. They buy one item, and they all think the steroid comes from their skills alone.
Give it a build more befitting of the core offensive item it is. This thing is the hybrid equivalent of Infinity Edge or Deathcap. Its build and stats should reflect that.
Change the build to
. Have its OnHit damage available right from the start and upgrade to AoE at 8 stacks. Then adjust the AP/AD/IAS gain per stack until something sticks.
If it is still too strong on Jax and friends, make it give only 1 stack (or maybe 1.5) on melee champs per attack rather than 2. That should make it much easier to balance without feeling silly.
jax with any attack speed will back door? I fail to see the issue
He could do the same with Bork and whatever other atk speed item
The problem with Guinsoo's is the fact that a very VERY few amount of champions can actually effectively use it, and those champions that actually can use it tend to be too strong with that item. Those champions (the ones I can think of) are Xin Zhao, Udyr, Master Yi, and Jax. The similarity all of those champions have is that they have inherent attack speed that maximize the synergy with guinsoo's.
Now taking a look at Guinsoo's, it caps at 8 stacks, gaining 2 stacks for each auto(melee). It has 64% attack speed, 54 attack damage, and 72 ability power at max stacks (or in 4 autos). The item has a 180% gold efficiency not even counting the passive which deals aoe damage, and is massively helpful when shoving a lane down it's throat.
With all of that said, Guinsoo's is really too strong for certain champions given how easy it is to achieve max stacks with it on champions like Xin Zhao, Jax, Udyr, and Master Yi. These guys can casually pump out 1.3-2 attacks per second. All in all they can get a 180% gold efficiency out of 1 item in less than 2 seconds, versus other champions which makes it very unfair. The item is completely biased towards less than 5% of the champion population.
Splitpushing has literally been the only viable option for Jax players if they wanna win a game for 5 seasons. Rageblade didn't change much.
NERF IT PROPERLY ALREADY
Easier said than done. That item was designed around to feel good around the same edge cases that abuse it. If you nerf it in a way that makes it bad on said case, it would be doing it wrong.
This item was designed to be AS focused with an On hit AoE, to be an AS option comparable to the Hydra items. That shouldn't change.
I'd say the passive makes it hard to balance as a result of how much it's worth in gold. Since theirs no wiggle room to add to the recipe, and you can't drive the combination cost much higher without making feel uncomfortable. The easy way around that is to remove some of the scaling and replace it with a base stat. You could probably take 3% AS scaling from the passive, (24% at 8 stacks) put 25% as a base stat, Add Recurve bow to the recipe, And now you could justify jacking up the price of that item.
