I was having trouble with the Lunar Revel store and in an attempt to verify a bug purchased the Akali /Bloodmoon Akali bundle. I sadly can't refund it but I'm going to try and view this as a positive: "Yay, a new champion to learn!"

The thing is I'm not very good with assassins and really have no clue about Akali and figured I'd come to the boards to seek advice. What specifically should I be trying to do with Akali in the early, mid and late game. Who do I excel against and what match-ups do I want to avoid? Does she have one common build path with a few situational items or a few different build paths? Finally, based on what I've read about her it looks like she'd do wonderful with the new Hextech Gunblade and Guinsoo's Rageblade, am I right about this?

Gunblade is generally the first item to get as it provides everything akali needs sustain cc and passive-wise guansoo could be decent it might work but it only works if u plan on auto 8 times before going in so I guess another ap item would be more cost effective

I haven't played her awhile but all I can say is her ult dash speed is going activate faster in the next patch.

Pre 6 you wanna hit lv 6 so you have can all in enemy

Akali w can be used defensively if zed is ulting u and u shroud he cannot aim at u Or juking/ escape. A neat mechanic is if u use w over to a camp it gives vision on creep so you can dash and make an escape.

Using mid game u should be looking for blood mid lane or roam whenever possible.

For late game I suggest you be the last one to fight since Akali is an assaisain and excel at killing squishes. Look for pick.

Zhoyas is a good buy for her

I'm eventually gonna update the guide to go into more detail about the full AP buildpath but what I have right now in the guide is a CDR build that I have always built on her that is really good when you play well. Gunblade is great but rageblade is bad
