Placed in a series for the second time, no free win?

After demoting earlier today, i got into promotion series twice in a row - but i didn't recieve 1 free win like what usually happens. Why not?

If you happened to dodge any of your matches, you forfeit your free win the next time you enter into that series.

I did not, however. I won one and lost two. Now i'm back in promos and have to win two once more...

Oh, if im looking up the right account, you're diamond (/plat in other queues), which would explain it. I had assumed you were lower at first due to the lack of forum badges.

Promo helper with the free wins for repeated attempts thing is only up until gold, above that we have to earn things properly.

That's odd. The promo helper has been there all the way up to Diamond 3, but after demoting it disappeared.

Weird, it stopped at gold 1 for me, and support confirms that was intended: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/204010760#h2q3

Depending on your sense of moral integrity you may want to give support a poke to see if they can figure out if theres a bug that affects your account. I doubt they'd derank you to your proper rank despite you apparently getting technically unearned free wins since it's probably their fault, but it's probably something to be mindful of.

Hmm, that's a good point. I'm not really sure how i would report this bug though - it's been a while since i got into Diamond (approx 3 months, in fact) and as such i doubt there are any issues with the game files - or if there were, that these bugged files are still present after recent patches.

Any suggestions on how i could report a potential server bug without any sort of concrete proof or evidence?

Sorry if that seems sarcastic. It's not intended to be. I genuinely have no idea how i would go about submitting a support ticket about this.

For the record i wouldn't mind being "externally demoted" - it would give me motivation to grind ranked games until wednesday, when the servers go down. That was super fun.

I'm pretty sure they've got pretty good records and might be able to look back to see what happen if you can remember a specific promo series where you actually utilized promo helper (e.g. it took you 2 tries to go from dia 4 to dia 3, and got a free game the second time), and if their records indicate you did get a free win, they'd be able to verify that there is/was a bug and can dig into their records to see if they've since fixed it, or otherwise begin to hunt down why.

(If you can't recall actually getting promo helper since promoting to plat, or simply succeeded all of your series first try, then it's possible that you actually weren't getting promo helper as intended and you'd just been assuming it was there but you never actually triggered it to see otherwise. If you're sure you did get some free wins though, knowing what promo series would certainly help them.)

As for the how to go about it, you could submit a support ticket via here, or you could use the report a bug board. If you go the ticket route, the category for your ticket I'd use is probably either account management or question about league of legends, but I don't think it matters too much since they'll be able to sort it out and ensure the right person sees it eventually.
