Riot did a good job on Shen's update

At least, it seems like it. Ever since I heard he was getting changed, I was super scared. I thought they'd ruin him and change everything about his character but... they didn't. This new Shen looks really nice, actually, and all his skins are worth buying unlike before. Especially Blood Moon Shen, that just looks amazing. The Spirit-Blade-thingy and its interaction seems really cool, and now he'll be an even better support than he used to be, as well as top lane. Though he doesn't have heals anymore, he can just block all the AA's from someone as well as taunt- his ADC could possibly not be hit at all.

Riot, you've pissed me off so many times as of recent but... I congratulate you on this. The only possible problem is if his damage or tankyness comes out to be too much, but that can easily be fixed. I'll definitely keep playing Shen after this update and maybe even more than before because now he seems a lot more fun and unique, and though his kit still doesn't fit "ninja," its still the gameplay that counts and it seems amazing.

P.S. The visual update is so fucking good I almost puked(out of joy :3) when I saw it.

Yeah, Frozen Shen came out to be really neat. It used to just be blue squat but... now its something I might think of buying instead of just Surgeon Shen.

Surgeon Shen.

Crocs. On another note, his Bloodmoon skin looks cool as well, the blades on his forearms are just awesome.

with this update I think they just changed him to mainly support over top now because of the greatly reduced cooldown if allies are affected. I had no problem with shen support, I played it, but i just hope he doesn't get shafted to a support character as a whole.

I dont think he has any more means of support with the rework than he already does, before his Q gave a heal to his allies for hitting the marked target. So instead of giving his allies a heal, he gives them a short protection to auto attacks.

Also, in terms of top lane, his sustain will be lowered (but not gone thanks to shield and grasp of the undying keystone) But his offensive trading potential is much higher. He can taunt, Q for a shield, W to not take any damage from those auto's during the taunt, and he gets an attack speed steroid for 3 hits as well as %maxHP, and if they try to run away, they are slowed from the Q giving him even more opportunity to do dmg. Granted all this can be done in the support position too, but that doesn't take away his ability in the top lane.

Meh, it just makes support a bit more viable, and his role in teamfights better. But he'll still be a good top, going in for trades every once in awhile with taunt+Q and a few AA's(W if they AA and he'll win trades for sure). Only difference is he'll actually need to buy health pots now, lol.

Ugh, I'm going to miss his old Q so much. It gave so much combat potential in trades. People would charge you and think they were winning only to realize that no, they were dying and there was nothing they could do to get away because, Shadow Dash bitch.

He can still toplane, the shield duration is reduced if you affect enemies as well.

I am going to miss the old shen very much, on the bright side, I have all the skins, and they're getting refreshed :D
