Cloud Dragon is just not as useful as other dragons.

Cloud Dragon. Its not as good as the other dragons. The only thing that it helps is accelerate Rotating. Its hard to rotate when you are losing and the other dragons are all stronger. Personally I think that Cloud Dragon shouldn't be a Situational Buff as much as it should be a Consistent Buff, like Water, Earth, and Fire Dragon.

Water Dragon will heal you during team fights. Fire Dragon is always increasing your damage. Earth Dragon is always active when taking objectives.

Why is Air Dragon the only Dragon that is only helpful when you ARE NOT doing anything other than walking. If you attack or get attacked. Boom Air Dragon completely useless.

Overall, hands down I don't think anyone can say that Air Dragon is better for any type of comp.

Split Pushing: Earth Dragon Team fighting: Fire Dragon Sustaining and Poking: Water Dragon A Mix of complete and random garbage: Fire Dragon/Water Dragon Taking Objectives: Earth Dragon

What is 30/45/60 Movespeed going to do when you are trying to take a tower, and just have auto attacked the tower and got collapsed upon, take a second to give you the move speed to maybe get away.

What is Air Dragon going to do when you are fighting a full blown Team fight, nothing because you are in combat. What is air dragon going to do when you are taking poke and poking back, nothing because you are in the general area you don't plan on leaving, maybe will help you avoid 5-6 skill shots. A Mix of complete and random garbage nothing because if you are watching a team play like garbage, then they don't know how to fundamentally utilize the buff Taking Objectives, yes because that 30/45/60 movespeed is Very good for taking objectives as a team, probably the best buff for... oh wait, Fire and Earth dragon are better for that.

Now if you want to make Cloud Dragon useful; remove the "When out of combat" text from it. Make the buff another pair of boots. Make the dragon worth value. Essentially. Cloud Dragon should then be equal to a fire dragon. Because if you get 3 Cloud Dragons you have increased movespeed by 60 all the time; you may even be able to get away with selling your boots for more damage, or defensive purposes. Saying you get three cloud dragons.

But @riot, I do personally believe that cloud dragon needs something done to it.

I do also understand that already fast champions like Udyr (biggest offender of this, if it were to go through) would be impossible to catch.

But, the dragons should not be lope sided, champions can be because you are consistently nerfing and buffing them.

We shouldn't make one weaker than its counter-parts. Khazix Khazix Khazix

They could give it some kind of effect like:

Zephyr - When attacked, this unit gains a decaying burst of movement speed over 2-3 seconds. 15 / 30 / 45 percent per dragon.

I agree, I am just pointing out the fact that this dragon is completely underwhelming in comparison to everything else in the game.

Hell even this post probes that http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/GD/mgGgH91p-got-2-cloud-dragon

Make it give 5% tenacity and 10% attack speed while in combat and calling it Zephyr would kinda make up for the loss of the item zypher and make it more valued to at least some champs.

I don't think that would be fair though, considering that the other buffs are beneficial to all champions. This would be more useful to marksmen and bruisers/tanks; however, not as good for mages. I think that the buffs should be a all round good buff for everyone. Even if some champions gain a little more than others. The buff should not increase a lead of a role over another role. However, I miss Zephyr, Heart of Gold, Force of Nature, Deathfire Grasp, Devo, and kage's lucky pick.

I think it should be +10/20/30 MS at all times and +7%/14%/21% extra when out of combat. That seems fairly reasonable to me anyway.

Theorex1 votes

That sounds very reasonable, I like the flat Movement speed. Then when the situation is met get more bonuses. It would allow it to be a good rotational buff, and teamfight buff. Not overly powerful for teamfights but give it something.

movement speed most op stat. Just make it all the time(and maybe have to reduce the effect some idk) like you said and it'd be an amazing one aswell. Was very sad when I saw it was only out of combat -_-

its way better than earth dragon. water dragon and fire dragon are somewhat superior to the other two but the air one is still pretty nice in my opinion. they just need to give the rocky one defensive stats not this stupid true damage. it makes no sense. air = speed. water= healing and health. fire= offense. rock=true damage to monsters and buildings? wtf. I mean in this meta taking barons dragons and turrets is so easy i dont care about the itty bitty of extra damage it gives. give us bonus armor and mr

Theorex1 votes

In higher play, that true damage is very very valuable. Hence why I didn't really bash on it. Its not as valuable when it comes to fighting, but it is still valuable.

The only way that air dragon can be good the way it is, is if you are winning and are able to just maintain out rotating the enemy team.

MunchCrunchLunch1 votes

defensive stats are more valuable. we have too much damage in the game we need a balance in defense and offense

Just needs something for "in combat"

Feels terrible if you're team decides to stack dragons as their way of winning and you get a bunch of cloud and earth dragons.

Feels equally terrible if you lose a bunch of dragons and the enemy gets 3 Fire dragons and 1 Water dragon.

The difference in value of dragon's is absolutely insane.

I wish it just permanently increased movespeed instead.

TL; DR

but I agree with most of what I read.

Could drake needs a buff. Perhaps %Ms rather than a flat ammount?

Do you think we can get any acknowledgement that this is an issue? <3

I thought the ocean dragon only worked out of combat?

Theorex1 votes

No, it works all the time. Regardless of combat or not.

By this kind of logic you could "prove" that item 3117 are a useless item. But they're actually not. Moving around the map has lots of uses (including placing and clearing vision). How many fights are decided (or don't happen at all) because one player couldn't get to them in time?

If it really is weaker than the others, making combat reduce it by a percentage instead of turning it off completely would be a possibility. But if it's actually just underappreciated then that might not be a good idea.

There is a dragon that is only useful when you're winning, but it's not air, it's earth. Have fun doing more damage to all the things you never get within 1000 range of! At least you could use air to try to set up a pick or something.

Theorex1 votes

But when we breakdown Dragons. Tell me which which four dragons you would much rather have over Cloud Dragon.

My point here isn't that movespeed is a bad stat. Its that in comparison to other dragons, it is just hands down NOT as good.

Out Rotating someone is important, I agree. But Why need to out Rotate when you can either Sustain the fight, out damage them in a fight, or take the objective because you do true damage? The only comp, I can see Cloud Dragon being valued in is a split pushing comp.

TL:DR

What I said was Cloud Dragon is NOT as Useful as the other dragons. It has the least impact in the game at the moment. Primarily when you consider that post 35 minutes generally one teamfight determines the game from that point forward.

It's not supposed to help you in combat it's supposed to help you do rotations faster, and always be able to outrun the enemies. It's not supposed to be a team-fighting dragon.

It might be a bit under-powered, they should reduce the out-of-combat time from 5 to 3 seconds. Earth dragon is under-powered in my opinion too, and is probably worse than fire dragon at taking objectives.
