Riven/Garen. Start cloth5, stay away from them and grab what you can, even if you have to use spirit fire to grab a cannon minion it's worth it. Bait them into using their AOE's to push the wave so you can stack under tower. Make sure you don't screw up your last hits, you need the gold to rush item 3110 and by the time you have that item you should be able to deal with them or at least stack without them being able to force you out of lane easily. It's critical you miss as few early stacks as possible.

Darius. Long story short, fuck Darius. This is the definition of getting hard countered, he has 20x more damage than Nasus early game and can make him pay with his life for even trying to Q a cannon minion. He also tends to get tanky enough to withstand more than a few Q's once Nasus gets it stacked. He does high amounts of all 3 types of damage and Nasus relies entirely on building resists early game, so this makes his life complete hell. If the Darius is half-decent, you won't win this lane by yourself, end of story. However, Darius shoves the wave hard with his Q and he is EXTREMELY vulnerable to ganks. Most junglers know this and will often camp Darius without you even asking for help. After you get 2 ganks (both of which Darius will die in 99% of the time) you should be near item 3110. At this point you won't have to worry about Darius, once he falls behind to Nasus he just gets outscaled the rest of the game.

Nasus main speaking. Also just ended a game with 700 stacks at 25 minutes. When in doubt, focus solely on stacking (don't miss those last hits!) and rush the almighty item 3110 (or item 3065 against AP tops).

Let them push, get stacks, win.

That's a really good question! I have yet to put this to the test but I believe darius riven and garen all tend to push really hard into turret, so farming under tower? Also after a certain point you can just all in them

Playing as nasus against ad champions is an easy job to do if you are any skilled at your champion. You can rush frozen heart and get cdr and armor early. Its way harder to win the lane against ap matchups imo. Just dont die in the first 5 minutes get back and ignore the enemy laner, especially the new darius should be no problem at all?

Flash

Nasus counters darius. You out damage him past the 15 minute mark.

Well that was old darius. I'm not sure about the new one.

you probably out damage him from level 1 till infinity, provided you throw down you W after 3 stacks so you can be sure to disengage befor he reaches 5. New Darius is just pathetic, unless he's somehow allowed to enter bloodrage AND attack with the bonus ad.

The trick is to be willing to give up CS early, just make sure you last hit with q when you can but don't take a ton of damage, just take flash and teleport and keep farming under turret until level 6 when you have glacial shroud. Eventually you will have enough armor and regen and lifesteal from huge q's to basically ignore their damage until you get to 200-300 stacks where you can start fighting them 1v1, around 400 stacks you can probably kill them and a jungler.

Then you just take all the towers and hope your team can hold waves 4v5,

Riven Garen are really easy matchups for Nasus. Let them push the lane , stack after u get ur item 3110 and 200 stacks just f uck them up.

As for darius he sucks big time but will get changed anyways next patch so just wait him out.

Riven is pretty easy. Start with cloth5 and defensive runes, bait her Q at lvl. 1 where it tickles but still pushes the lane, then just freeze in front of your tower and she can do nothing.

Sire Hippington1 votes

play him AP/tank max E, clear waves for days, run around with ~8+% maxhealth/sec on aoe in teamfights while your E nukes huge...

Warning: Do not actually do this.

Garen — the guy is op, doesn't matter how hard you wreck him early (if you do), he'll come back as a monster midgame with just few items. And his kit basically counters nasus in every way: Q removes slow, silences you so no Q/lifesaving R, W — dmg reduction, AS reduction from wither doesn't affect his spin, and more health nasus gets from his ult — more dmg Garen's will do. So, basically just ignore him most of the time and farm up you Q. Dueling with him relies of baiting his Q, than you can kill him, though in tf he's not your priority, it's always better to wither their adc and possible kill him, and leave garen to your teammates. Riven — play super safe early. You have to give up some cs — important here is to not die to her, because riven without kills is useless, but with kills shes a monster + you will lose cs anyway so things will get even harder. But once you get some armor you out scale her. In fact, any champion, that can survive with decent cs early and builds armor counter riven very hard. Darius — almost the same tactics as vs Riven, with an exception that he is an easy target for ganks. Farm under turret, bait him to use his Q and than engage with wither and your jungler to get an easy kill. For summoners the best choice is ghost and tp: tp to stay in lane to farm more, occasionally helping your teammates with dragon and in tf in general, and splitpushing, cause Nasus is incredibly strong at taking towers. Ghost is must have because of Nasus's issue with him being easily kited, and what you have to do in tf is to run into enemy carries and murder them. It's not always possible, obviously, but without ghost you won't be a threat to backlines at all, and arguably you will manage to get any kill in skirmishes in mid game too. If you farm under turret, your HP loss with your sustain will be minimum and none of these champions will dive you (yet, you still can run away with ghost, withering your enemy under your turret) so flash, in most cases, is useless. As for starting items, almost always is better go flask and 2 hp pot: more sustain, more time you will stay in lane. Cloth+5 pots is ok too, and probably you should start with those if you have problems with these champions. However what is crucial for you is to learn too farm under turret and freeze your lane. This is the most important thing on nasus. If you manage to safly farm under you tower, even if you will be a few cs behind, it is still better than having to constantly go back and lose more cs, dyin and losing more cs + giving gold to your opponent, being with useless in tf flash instead of ghost etc.

step 1 Pick a real champion

You shouldn't pick nasus against a dairy or garen. Riven is a little easier to deal with since players don't usually play her well.

I like to bait Rivens into Qing my minion wave, then I just farm under tower. When she dives, I exhaust+ult. They're also often button-mash happy, so without exhaust you can somewhat predict when they're going to use their execute, and just flash to the other side of them. This won't usually work against good Rivens.
