Lucian's winrate is bizarrely bad right now. Like, 46.5% at all elos but Masters'/Challenger bad.

Lucian might actually... need help? I can't believe those words are coming out of my mouth.

Challenger and Masters' don't really have a large enough sample to consider the data as accurate, but to address it, the Masters' winrate is ~49% on NA. The NA Challenger scene has him at a positive winrate this week (with a small sample size, though, mind -- 55 games), but with a similarly small sample size of 88 games, the KR challenger scene has Lucian pegged at a ~38% winrate. Least wins of any champion played, period, despite being in the top 20 most played champions in KR Challenger.

This is really weird. Does anyone have any idea why Lucian might be doing so poorly (Ashe meta?) or where he might be weak?

Lucian has a surprisingly high skill cap. With his 500 range, the difficulty in Lucian comes from understanding the optimal positioning to unload your damage from.

I'm sure it's more the fact the meta doesn't favor him.

Or, as some one has said, him and Graves tread on each other's toes. When one is good (cough Graves) the other will be pushed aside till the former gets nerfed. Rinse and repeat.

i wouldnt say there is much of a meta among the adc's

they all have a very similar purpose so you just pick the one who is in best situation ballance wise

I'm talking about the tank meta, in general.

Graves is far more durable and AoE-burst centric than Lucian.

Lucian is good at single-target burst and sniping.

They both possess mobility and burst though, but Graves just does it better at this point and time.

Yeah, unfortunately, you cannot kite while CC'd.

Hence why Graves' innate tankiness is why he's on-top at the moment, and not Lucian.

but its hard to initiate on you when you run away or dodge the cc

the diference is that graves takes hits to the chest while lucian tries to not get hit

well, weekly winrates from challenger are like whatever, doesnt matter at all. even in LCS, some champions have like 10% winrate over 20 games. happens you know.

the problem with lucian is that nobody really understands what his role is. hes an "early game champion" but that doesnt mean he is the strongest rightclick champ from lvl 1 on.

i think lucians "problem" is that he isnt as straight forward as some other champs, and since league players naturally have under average brain capacity, lucian is probably one of the harder champions to play right now.

but since there are champions suffering even harder for really more "impactful" reasons, lucian isnt one to be thought about for quite a while. t

Lucian was PERFECTLY balanced for two weeks. Then got nerfed. Not sure what the people expected. He is very much in that spot of "needs an early lead to be effective."

Lucian is a hard topic because he still isnt settled in his niche he seems to be made as a spell slinging adc but while passive exchanges his as for cdr his ult brings that stat back into the play next thing ie nerf, lucian likes statik shiw so its a nerf to lucian ... he gets less crit

there is also the hard aiming of q, but that can be left alone

He can't do much vs tanks... his sustained dmg is crap and he can teamfight with ult and Q only. If he gets caught by the enemy, he is dead meat. If meta changes to fighters/ assasins, he would be better. Plus he was the most op adc for so long, let's not return to this again.
