Apparently even support's grades depend on CS.
Rly? Really? REALLY??? RITO. WHY. JUST. WHY.

This also exists
Because you are measured against other people playing that champion in that role. If they are getting CS, CS becomes the benchmark.
Build zz-rot. Get cs by proxy. (not proxying)
I play
and
Support.
With
I have no problem getting a S via CS. :3
I think it has something to do with the fact that people switch roles in the lobby after queuing up for another and then doing well so they can get an easy S rank, maybe????
Some CS is expected. Normally you wouldn't get very much and it should come pretty naturally to get S-grade CS by holding waves while the carry isn't there or nabbing last hits the ADC was going to miss, but some Support champs clear waves really well so might get quite a bit in longer matches.
If you have no CS as a Support you're actually missing free gold that nobody got.
All I know is that I got an easy S rank from playing Voli Mid and I only went like 5/4/14
This. You should definitely be getting CS as a support. Not taking any CS as a support is never some kind of ideal goal to aspire to. You should be taking CS when:
While I entirely agree on that, the fact that you functionally need either multiple kills or insane CS on many supports to reliably get an S rank while wards have near zero impact on grade is absolutely insane.
You are saying that it is easy to do that.
If i get some CS while my adc isnt near the lane he/she goes ballistic and starts cussing me.
I mean do they seriously have to go nuts over me getting 2-5 CS when they are not even near?
I do get CS if i use
.
If your ADC is going psycho over you getting CS nobody else was going to get, feel free to mute him. Let them burst a blood vessel on their own time. Try to recognize if he's just telling you to not push the lane, that's a bit different.
Very well!
As for my ADC trying not to push the lane that's pretty easy to recognize. Besides i only take the creeps with low HP.
is specially clear on tank support because they use face of the mountain line, on others is more about how much you die, you want a perfect score to get an S on other champions.
the real burden is trying to get an S in any mage that can be support and mid, annie orianna, lux, zyra, not only you cant die but also need to get farm because everytime someone play them mid it increase the average farm you need to get an S

It creates a basis for the champion in the specific role. There are the statistics in place to rate you against every other Annie played specifically as support, just as there are separate statistics to rate you against when you play Annie Top, Annie Jungle, Annie Mid, and Annie ADC. These statistics do not overlap when it determines a grade for a side role.
Yes, which means that it's not hard if you're decent at support to get an S on someone like Ekko by playing them support.
the grade also depends on kills. it sucks
got s+ on veigar support
all of its shortcomings are made up by how evil it is
I thought they made it so when it comes to grading, assists are equal or almost worth as much as kills.
The thing is the grade depends on the average stats of your champion in that role, which equals to the fact that a support with a significant CS plays "better" thus gets a better grade.
It also (should) depends on the ward score, but since you play a role that naturally wards a lot, its impact is actually lower, unless you are shitting wards left and right.
By that same note, it should also depend on stuff like structure kills, and neutral objectives should carry more weight than regular CS. The problem is that Riot doesn't seem to care that what makes a player good varies by role.
ez.
so, spamming wards will help on support rating? I know if you're in your own store area, you can spam a ton of wards once you have a sightstone.
not sure if that's a legit way to get a high ward count...but I topped one game with 105 wards placed. (75% of em spammed in the base, drop a couple each time and leave once the item resets to full)
as for CS...i've only been getting that when lane is empty or my ADC is off somewhere having a kill fantasy
I think it all weighs down to gold earned.
CS is just a big part of that gold, and so are kills, unfortunately.
No gold earned actually has no part. Went 4/0/18 as brand, had most gold on my team, and did 2nd most damage. Got an A- with 150 cs. 2/4/7 Varus got an S with 240 ish cs
You can get an S on most supports with 60ish CS as far as my experience goes. Which is a valid amount for a support to have at the end of a 30 minute game. But anyway the reality of the matter is if you want to guarantee an S, just play the casters mid and the tanks top. It's a good experience. I personally enjoy it.
I don't see a reason why mastery of a champ has anything to do with pressing 4. If anything if you managed to evade ganks without vision that proves higher mastery. And if you can turn around a 2v3, well, obviously you're good mechanically and conceptually with the champ in that case.
