Is it BM to ban the champ a teammate declared?

I've had this happen a couple times, where I have picked the champion (not op 100% banned) I want to play. A teammate bans my guy. I call them out like wtf is this

It sure pisses me off, but no one seems to care when I call them out. Is it generally considered BM to do this?? I feel like it is/should be but I'm pretty new so idk if people think it's normal/ok or what

I wish it was a bannable offense to do this.

Yes, but make sure to do it if they pick Lee Sin. You will regret it otherwise.

It's pretty BM honestly.

Yes, it is.

THAT SAID... if the champ they declare is MASSIVELY OP or something and they're last pick you might want to take that champ away so the enemy can't first-pick them. If you yourself are first pick tho, the gentlemanly thing to do would be offer to swap them that champ tho.

This can happen by accident because there is no built-in alert system to flag picks that are already proposed team choices.

But it can also be that a player does not want that champion on their team, and summoners are free to make that choice.

I do not want taliyah yorrick or singed on my team and usually not bard/sona

not Lee Sin either

There are more people in the game than just you. Your preference is to not play with those champs, obviously theirs is. Why should your say be better than theirs and you knowingly ban them? Wouldn't it be a better team effort to ban strong/counter pick characters that the other team could have instead of YOUR OWN TEAMS?

that is what I was planning to do stop people from counterpicking themselves

... I banned myself a few days ago, then later that day wasn't paying enough attention again and banned our mids pref (Zed). He got upset at me, the other team banned my pick, and either coincidentally or after looking me up he banned my fall back champion.

To be honest, I didn't mind the ban against me. I thought it was silly over a mistake, but whatever. Him threatening to troll was what got to me.

I feel like trolling when you get banned by allies is the bigger problem than being banned by allies.

It is bm but good job declaring picks and make sure you have more champs in that role
