I Love Aurelion Sol's PlayStyle and I Hope You Never Rework His Kit Riot

He isn't super flashy with 3 blinks and dashes, he doesn't have 20 passives and massive amounts of shit in his kit that just makes him feel like a chore to play.

He is VERY comfortable to play. He's difficult but it is rewarding to the player and the player only. Flashy champions are rewarding everyone by looking cool even if they don't succeed. Sol just...does his own thing. I really like his laid back and mellow style.

So I think I've found my new love for a mid laner. Please don't change his kit in the future, I think it is great.

"It's all about how menacingly you walk at your opponent."

I think he is strong, but I feel like his guaranteed death against anyone who gets close to him is a huge problem. He needs some kind of way to deter or damage people who get that close without wasting flash or his ult.

I have recommended that changing his stars' orbital pattern with W would help this. Instead of having them just expand, I would like to see them assume an atomic pattern so that they always have to cross his center, thus giving him some way to punish people who get close.

I agree that his kit is very well thought out. He has obvious strengths to win with and weaknesses to exploit.

Playing him feels kind of like Singed in the fact that they are really unlike any other champion and it feels great.

He just feels so forced to feel thematic.

And he's so feast or famine. He either kites you to death or you gapcloser and he's screwed. I'm glad you found a champion you love though. He's not that bad and doesn't really need a rework anytime soon.

Just everyone's thought when they get to play a particular champion and actually like it. "Hope this will never be changed" .

Ditto, although i don't feel that he is that difficult. He's my favorite champ, although I've been playing him jg for a while now.

You'll be singing a different tune come the assassin update. He's weak to the most annoying type of champion in the game because his kit was designed around an extremely limiting gimmick.

I didn't pick up Aurelion on release (I actually only bought him about two weeks ago now), but after Taliyah came out and playing roughly 200 games with her, I fell in love with the roaming playstyle. I felt that Aurelion would fit this playstyle nicely and decided to give him a try.

I still haven't played that many games with him, but I really enjoy it despite still having lots to learn about it. My positioning for landing the stars still needs plenty of work, but it's still really fun to play. He has very clear strengths and weaknesses, and I like that. Overall just a great champion with a fun kit and a slightly above average learning curve.

his range isn't huge and he has clear weaknesses. hes squishy with no in combat engage or disengage. and his sustained damage is hard to land and easy to dodge (until he gets rylais) but even then he takes his time to do damage

one of the biggest game breaking things in league. is range. which is why you don't see melee ad carries in bot lane. and why azir has been a problem since forever.

He's the only DPS mage i'm fine with as if you're melee and close the gap on him his only options are burn ult or die. Nice to have a new champ for once that doesn't generically shit on melees.

He's way too new and unpopular to be reworked

A true testament to "Less is more". His Q not withstanding which is about the most convoluted part of his kit xD (But not in a bad way, mind)

100% agreed

He's very strong while being healthy and very well designed. He's extremely rewarding in right hands as well. Plus he's fun! Don't think Riot will change him anytime soon unless he starts getting picked in LCS.

Right now he's a bit out of the meta. (It was weird how they released something so different to what the meta would support) but hopefully when the assassin update comes out, they'll be much more high risk high reward. (emphasis on the risk) to where these tankyish mages with moderate harass will have a much more fair time against them. But yea I absolutely support keeping his kit the same as the meta will eventually shift to where people are whining about nerfing him.

Definitely one of my favorite champs. Just wish I could hear more of those amazing taunts :)

Thank you for speaking up about this. He is one of my favorite champs to play. I use him toplane when the stars align (I've wrecked a Zac and a Nasus , but Malzahar is even more of a monster to Aurelion), and he is my instapick for PoroKing. I think he's legit OP in that gamemode when you know what your doing.

I honestly do not think that Aurelion Sol is very strong, simply because he is super weak compared to most of the viable midlaners atm, they can easily zone and destroy him.
