Honestly these should be available for IP. Some of us on live have or nearly have all the runes/champs/runepages that can be bought with IP. The game is 5 years old,. we need a place to sink IP at this point.
Really expensive for simple recolors, should be available for less or unlock-able by game merits.

This Chroma Packs idea was mentioned by staff about a year ago and it got of negative feedback regarding the pricing. A lot of people were for the idea but nobody was with their proposed pricing on it back then. It's sad to see that Riot is going the greedy businessman route, despite what people said last time.
I'd buy the crap out of these for Cho'Gath, for the giant pink robot death monster.
There's also the fact that we have to by three instead of the one we're actually going to use.
We're forced to buy a sort of bundle instead of paying a lower price for the one skin we actually want. Why can't we just buy the one??
Well when everyone voted and commented in Riot's survey and thread, the polls said nobody agreed with their last price range. The idea was either scrapped or postponed for the time being only to return a year later at a higher price in the form of a bundle. That just seems to convenient.
The real question is, can I make Darius pink?
Hmm? if Riot is just gonna make recolors can they make em' IP I don't know why we have to buy RP for recolors.

It's like you're forgetting what happened a year ago when they proposed this same idea on the forums. Everyone liked the idea of skin recolors but the majority posts did not like the pricing and said they would not buy them if it stayed. This is the same case as before. I WANT to buy skin recolors but I do not want to be forced to pay for two other skins that I know I won't ever use.
It'd be a pity to buy that Lucian recolor pack and only ever use the blue one.
It takes literally one hour to make a recoloured skin. It's just Photoshop sliders and masks. Even taking into account adding the skin to the database and testing, it doesn't take much more than a single manday to make a "chroma" (we used to call that a recolour).
Any amount of money for these is too much, which is why other games like HotS and Smite give them away for free.
I wonder how they will do this for people like Rumble who's machine might look a little weird if it was anything but the color it is AND just changing how Rumble would look wouldn't really make it worth buying.
Pink Sona Base Chroma Please?!?!?! :D If you do a Sona base skin chroma it should include the main body of her hair That'd be so neat.
Whoa! I love this. There are a lot of champs for which I prefer the classic skin texture-wise, but would like different colors. There are also skins I love, but dislike their color schemes. So excite!
