@Meddler @Balance, Heimer needs SOMETHING..

Now, before you guys come in and spout that Heimer's winrate would suggest otherwise you also need to look at his pick rate and which lane he's actually played in.

Heimer has been slowly pushed away from mid lane into the top lane where he now terrorizes anyone who still has the balls or is just foolish enough to still attempt to play melee top laners. Those are the only lanes he excels in, and even then after laning phase if the enemy team even has mediocre AoE they eliminate his turrets UNCONSCIOUSLY in teamfights.

Some people would argue that's supposed to be Heimer's niche, a laning phase bully who falls off late game, but when that "bullying" is only against a very small pool of still viable champions, I think there's time for a change.

Heimer needs SOMETHING, his turrets need some kind of survivability, especially with the mass amount of mobile and AoE champions in the current meta. Even at the cost of some turret damage nerfs his turrets either need to gain a % of his BONUS MR/Armor, resistance to AoE damage (including trailblazer >_>), or higher AP->HP scalings.

This isn't even touching the rest of his kit. His passive is thematically confusing and overall doesn't do much in the grand scheme unless you're building % HP regen items; which you get penalized for because they don't actually grant your turrets anything because they only scale from AP ->HP. His rockets are overall unreliable, but arguably the strongest part of his kit WHEN LANDED, but that's only if/when you can manage to land his grenade, arguably the slowest skillshot in the game. On top of that, you have to land the grenade to reliably land the rocket.

Take away Heimer's turret damage and give him something more. Please.

Sincerely, A Plat 3 Heimer Main (despite the name)

I've been playing a lot of Heimer recently, in blind pick, solo que and ranked 5's, Plat 1 currently.

I use him in top lane more than mid, but do just fine in mid. He has his problems against the ranged poked champs like Xerath and Lux, but they aren't lost causes. The only insane match up is Syndra and to a lesser degree Morgana.

Personally I think he is fine as is. His passive is huge invisible power to everyone involved, so a different one would be interesting, maybe his turrets benefit from his lifesteal/spellvamp and heal themselves.

I disagree completely that he can't do anything against ranged opponents or that he he's bad in late game team fights. His rockets do a ton of damage and can be used in a variety of ways, one of the best is to use a side rocket to last hit a minion and having the others spread out behind it to poke the enemy. In a lane where the jungler is saving his smite for your turrets and the enemy mage is killing your turrets as you put them up you need to be smarter about where you put the turrets. Spread them out to the sides of the lane so they can't hit the minions and your turrets and make sure they can't hit two turrets with one spell.

You can always set up the turrets further back in the lane and farm with rockets while having your safety nest to fall back on if a gank comes, which leads me to the most important thing about Heimer. Vision is your friend, more so than other champions. If a smart jungler gets behind you they can work with the laner and poke out your turrets and you're screwed. If you see them coming you back off, lose the turrets to the laner and start over.

Heimer isn't always about denying and bullying your opponent into uselessness, he scales well. Ult-Grenade is huge damage and CC in a team fight and can be used to initiate. Ult-W is amazing at picking people off. Ult-Q is your counter-engage tool. You can use turrets to set up a safety zone for your team while you siege or to zone off enemies while you secure dragon, or even used to 2 man Baron. If the enemy team has too much AoE where your turrets get insta-killed, hang back with the ADC and peel with the grenade and put turrets down around them, the diving bruisers don't have the skills to take out the turrets and the ADC.

TL;DR: Heimer is fine, his passive is just unnoticed.

You said exactly why they won't change him. He is a lane bully and that's his identity. The dick that can survive any gank until team fights come around and he becomes less relevant.

He's not even that unless used as a counterpick to a melee champion. Everything else just shits on him. He can't survive a gank if he's not doing any damage since the jungler sneezed on his turrets and they died.

As a player with a gold-plat matchup in mmr games (because i don't solo-que ranked), I find him to be completely comfortable with the rockets and even the stun. Its the turrets that will never feel great, but they aren't bad now. People just can't seem to get past this thought that the turrets are what makes his identity, and trying to focus that as first priority skill is just a bad choice.
