why do people make videos with clickbait titles like "one-shot kha'zix build"

resumed··2 votes·2,911 views

like theyre some new innovating build that drasticly changes the playstyle

like as opposed to what bitch

theyre assassins

thats what they do

they build whatever helps them scale and then they one shot people. its literally their defining trait.

that would be like seeing "ARDENT SENSER IS BROKEN!! CRAZY HEALING FULL SUPPORT SORAKA" or "UNKILLABLE KOREAN MAOKAI BUILD. FULL TANK MAOKAI."

like imagine that. building tank on maokai. fucking genius

edit: the title is a rhetorical question. the videos im talking about are fucking stupid because an assassin is supposed to one shot people. "why do people watch this garbage" is a more genuine question

Every youtuber will use clickbait to get people to watch. Thats why most tubers always have a custom thumbnail

I would click on a video that said one shit khazic build. I would click on a vid that said jungle khazic guide .

Much to learn about marketing, you have.

no

the videos only slightly lend information on how to play the champion in question. what they do is show some gameplay, which yeah, you could use to guage to slightly learn how to play a champion. but these are more of highlights and comedy reels and would not be a substitute for any guide

Oh i was thinking of "Soraka was one-shotting kha'zix" as the title doesnt specifically say who was doing the one-shot.

Same reason other places use click bait, to get people to click. Don't like click bait, don't give them clicks.

There have been many reputable YouTubers that have been accused of clickbait, but their videos are not, in fact clickbait.

Clickbait is a title that grabs the attention of a potential viewer causing them click on said video expecting to see what the thumbnail denotes or what the title is touting, but the video is something unrelated to the title/thumbnal. If you click on a "One-shot [insert champ name here] video and you, in fact get a video showing how to build in order to delete enemy champs in one-shot, it is not clickbait.

Clickbait is the new bait-and-switch.

What they are doing when they give you what the video title is telling you is giving you the obvious. Yes, assassins are designed to one-shot/delete you. That is not clickbait.
