Riot Gameplay Appreciation Thread :)
So lately I've noticed a lot of gameplay posts complaining about how Rito is doing nothing and how they are losing their playerbase. TBH most of these complain threads remind me of that "can i speak to your manager" haircut mom for some reason. Anyways I thought I'd list a few things about gameplay changes over the season that I actually liked.
Runes Reforge
I actually like the new runes. Sure, there needs to be more defense options, but personally I'd say the diversity has greatly increased for me. Before, I literally had 2 runes pages: one for AD and one for AP. Now, every gam during champ selecte i have to check my runes and change them accordingly. It actually took me a while to get used to changing runes every game. I know some out there actually enjoyed changing there old runes around depending on the matchup, but going all mr runes when fighting against a AP champion wasnt exactly "diversity either". Same argument goes for masteries.
Damage Creep
Damage is too high we all know that. But its not like Rito didnt do anything. I really liked the crit rework, because i always though how silly it was how much burst an ADC can do with a single crit shiv aa. Now, ADC's feel like they are more towards tank killers, which in my opinion is good. They also lowered the shield duration of enchanters, which is also a good step. So many people were complaining about enchanters being to strong and braindead. This change made it so shielding required much more skill than before. Overall, while I agree it seems to be quite a slow progress, te changes are happening.
Viable Champions
Unlike the popular opinion, i feel like there are many hidden gem champions that most people dont recognize. Just because you and your friends only play certain champions doesnt mean that others dont. Sure there are some champions that are kinda left, but overall i can easily say that a mass majority of the champions have their own player base and dedicated players. As an ARAM player ive played with and against many if not all champions and ive seen plenty of games where some underestimated champion turns out really good in the hands of a player that understands its mechanic. Overall personally im quite happy with the current state of many champions.
Overall i can say im quite happy with the state o the game. Sure changes are coming a bit slower than you'd want and some things still havent been addressed (towers etc) but i think that there is still plenty to enjoy in this game. Remember in the end these are all my personal opinions and perspectives so you might not disagree on some points.
