@Meddler can we please address the Jungle picks in Pro Play?

Gragas RekSai Elise are in every game with a rare appearance from Graves Nidalee when 2 of the other 3 aren't up. Jungle has one of , if not the worst amount of diversity between all the roles in the LCS. Seeing Inori's Rengar yesterday was probably the coolest thing in a while, not only because he carried, but because it was FINALLY a champion that wasn't picked to death since last years worlds, and honestly the only difference between Jungle pools then and now is that Graves took over Lee Sin's spot. Seriously the 5 jungle picks i listed above are incredibly stale, and its sad that the only way we can get anything new into the Jungle is by having it be flat out broken (Hecarim). I know the game should not be balanced around what people want to watch in the LCS but c'mon, the lack of diversity in the Jungle is just depressing and boring to watch.

Gragas ,RekSai ....Traditionally picked for what they can bring to a team fight. Gragas .....knock backs and slows plus a bit of splash damage and effects, very useful when engaging a group. RekSai ...knock ups, global presence, hard dive/engage both are tanks and hard to deal with without a good focus or burst. Elise .......very early and notable ganks can keep teams farming in safe zones and allow lane opponents to get ahead. Nidalee .....good ganking and control of jungle using her traps to warn of enemy movement in jungle Graves ......high damage brawler that left unchecked can be very dangerous late in the mid game ,good engage-peel heavy damage output and a decent survivor in team fights.

Each is chosen depending on the opposite teams composition and what each team wants to do in team fights not in 1 v 1. Basically thinking of the team as a whole and not individual players.

Sejuani Amumu are also pretty good for teamfights but yet never see play. A Champion like Vi could be an asset (assuming shes picked later) too because she can just destroy a carry. Hell Zac is pretty awesome with ganks and in teamfights as well. Why dont these guys ever get picked. Ik why not amumu but whats wrong with the others i listed?

Zac ....good diver nice aoe slow tank zac has a lot he can do,although his dive can be spotted(his shadow appears where he is going to land) slow starter but can be deadly late game....unfortunately alot of matches do not last long enough for him to be the biggest threat.

Vi ....awesome at engages ult can be deadly, but more of a single target threat so in team match ups falls a bit short. Amumu ......all around good champ but aside from his ult not much in his kit for large groups.....but great and fun to play. Sejuani ....seems to be on the rise in popularity decent tank good engage not sure if she can bring enough into a team fight right now but watch her close to see what she brings to team fighting in general.

Sejuani was picked the other day in one of the asian regions (pretty sure), didnt work out too well though

Amumu isn't played because he can be easily exploited and made generally useless

I'm not sure how much Riot can influence this. It depends on the players' champion pools (which are generally small to begin with) and their absolute obsession with gapclosers. I guess it makes for easier/safer ganks, and they are also generally safe in their own jungle.
