PSA: "It's a Skillshot. Just dodge it!" is not a valid excuse for any ability being so absurd.

It wasn't valid when everyone was talking about Blitz hook. It wasn't valid when everyone was talking about Illaoi's E. It's still not valid when you're talking about Tahm's Q.

Getting hit ONCE is all it takes to fuck you over.

It really, truly is valid. A skillshot is skill expression. A projectile gives you, the player, the opportunity to react, to dash, to pop a defensive cooldown, or just juke it and not get hit. If Blitz misses the hook, his kit does basically nothing. If Illaoi misses her E, her kit does basically nothing. Dodging these key abilities is absolutely valid counterplay because that one outplay makes or breaks their skill rotation. If they land it, they get a good trade. If they don't, you get a big window to punish them while their main threat is offline.

Yeah I'm not so sure about Tom. He's just designed to be a pain in the ass.

I mean, this is true. Assuming a mid ranged skillshot, and assuming the person aimed it properly, yes, the shot is impossible to dodge. You cannot react to the skillshot being fired. Youre not supposed to.

The important thing is you should be actively predicting and dodging the skillshot BEFORE the enemy uses it. Not after.

Malphite has ult and flash off CD, you see him running at you. If you do not go for your flash before you see him use his, youre dead. Flash preemptively.
