We really need CertainlyT fired

I don't care if he makes fun champs. They have the most ridiculously bloated kits in the world. Its absolutely depressing how this guy thinks its fine to just keep releasing toxic champions.

If they want this toxic designer to work anymore at riot, he needs to release 4 remakes for every new champ he makes. He has ruined the ranked power curve with every single champion he has released and made old champs obsolete. It is not unusual to see 4 out of the 6 bans in ranked to be all certainlyT champs. Sad part is it would be 6 of 6 but we nerfed almost all his champs 50x each so they are finally some what balanced.

A lead designer at a game company isn't just something you find commonly. While he'd probably be on the higher end of the list if one of those jobs ever opened up it's not guaranteed there'd be one that opened up soon. At least not a decent, stable one like he probably has at Riot. I wouldn't exactly want to join one of those small startup games because most of them fail.

The game has evolved. Do you really want champions as boring as Mundo? Asking for someone to be fired is uncalled for. This is someone's career you're talking about.

I've called for his job in the past, and a multitude of voices rang out in agreement, so don't worry OP.

With that said, I don't want him fired. I can't fault him for making the champs he does, honestly I'd probably be doing the same.

I want him moved to Champ Up. It's obvious he's got decent insight on how to make kits work with themselves to become perfect meshes of a playstyle. However, he's an asshole for doing that with nothing but new champions, leaving the older ones SEVERELY lagging behind in power and play time.

He has yet to design and sign-off on a champion that was not HEAVILY nerfed within two months of release. Thresh has yet to not be a top or safe pick, and I'm getting really tired of having him be the bar for Support. It feels like I'm cheating when I play him, cause no other Support comes close to his reliability and safety.

Move CerT to ChampUp, and Stashu to Champ Design.

It's really harsh, and honestly somewhat cruel, to call for his job... But I'd honestly like it if they pulled him back a bit and asked him to focus on making champions that are more fun to play against rather then making these lopsided experiences.

It isn't a problem of CertainlyT's that the other designers don't have the same vision as he does. His champions ARE fun, because of all of the possibilities their kits allow for. Extreme technical outplays, awesome jukes, and fun, innovative mechanics. Personally, i wish all of the champions were designed like that, and i don't even PLAY those champions (besides Kalista who i'm trying to learn.)

fun? what is fun about not killing yasuo because of a PASSIVE shield that does all the work by itself? or the 30 second 2k range ult that can chain with any pop up and gives a free 50% pen for 12 seconds?

This isn't skillful. His champions have extreme amount of bloat in passives. There is no reason a champion should have more then 1 passive.

And yet each of them still have noticeable weaknesses. For Yasuo, his ability to gain his shield is reduced significantly when there are no enemy minions around allowing him to dash. This also reduces his mobility leaving the mostly squishy target as a sitting duck.

CertainlyT certainly doesn't deserve to be fired. I don't know what you're on about. almost EVERY League champ is overpowered on release, INTENTIONALLY. They do it to sell skins and get RP champion sales. It's very rare to see an underpowered or balanced champion release for this reason.

Can you name these 4 CertainlyT bans that you see often in ranked? I've only ever seen bans for Thresh and Kalista in recent memory.

Honestly I don't have a problem with any of his champions (despite not playing any of them myself) EXCEPT for Kalista. Kalista's got to be one of the stupidest designs I've seen. She has way too much kiting capability, you basically need to burn all of your team's CC to lock her down or she'll just kite you for years.

I don't think she can be balanced with her current abilities. Maybe if they knocked 25 range off of her autoattacks (550 -> 525), that might work - she'd still be able to outplay and kite people, but it might bring her just close enough to be caught more often.

I starting to think people just complain because they see others do it. I don't think that any of his champs are fundamentally broken, at least no more then other designs in the game a LA Lee sin. I wouldn't even say any of his champs are overpowered right now, yet all are fun to play. And since kalista is such a hot topic, can't you just learn to not chase her? And its really not that hard to hit her with skillshots, she sent be autoing all the time you know.
