I really think buffing Sunfire Cape's damage is not a good idea.

Unique Passive - Immolate damage increased from 11 + 1/lvl to 20 + 1/lvl (12-29 to 19-38) bonus damage to minions and monsters lowered from 200% to 100%

Given how dominant Sunfire Cape used to be (and how it insured the most common top lane picks in competitive were tanks fighting each other with wet noodles), I don't think buffing that aspect of the item is a good idea. Especially with the fact that everyone playing against those tanks effectively lost 12 MR.

Edit: Looking on the PBE, Bramble has been changed from flat 15 to 10% of bonus armor. So that makes it worse in lane.

So...a bunch of reverts.

I don't like that they're effectively reversing a previous directional change for Sunfire.

One major point of the Sunfire/Cinderhulk/Cinder change was reducing its overall damage for bonus damage against Monsters and Minions to act as a Waveclear item for Tanks. This change will simply pull it back towards boring passive AOE damage again for what's effectively statcheck combat. I really want to know what's the intention behind this change.

It's simple. Toplane bruisers suffer somewhat this patch, so Riot is HEAVILY nefing bramble vest rush - this should help many bruisers A LOT.

However, at the same time, vest is THE ONLY good rush item for tanks at the moment, so they need something to rush in return. Tanks aren't as strong ATM as boards see them, with some exceptions like Maokai, so ruining their only rush item without giving nothing in return isn't really an option.
