If someone dodges while you're in your primary role you shouldn't be autofilled the next time.

This is undeniably the dumbest thing I've ever seen in this game. I always queue mid-top. USUALLY I get mid on the first go, but someone always, always dodges. For some reason the game constantly puts me top/support/jungle the next time I enter champ select. I can't keep dodging when I don't get mid lane and I'm losing LP because of it (I cannot play support or jungle well), and this is seriously affecting my winrate because I cannot get the role I want. To put it in perspective, for the last five consecutive games I've played, when I went mid-top, I did not get mid. Even when I was autofill protected, I still ended up with top lane.

Like, I choose mid-top because "hey, top is popular, so it's less likely they'll put me there secondary)." WRONG. It happens all the time. Please fix this, I don't care if I have to wait 15 minutes for a game honestly.

if someone dodges, just decline the next one. you wont lose LP, and your place in queue will be reset. lowers chance of autofill

at that point its a new queue/match making all bets are off

When you get placed back in queue after a dodge, the system prioritizes getting you back in a game as fast as possible, so it usually just places you into whatever spot is available

Honestly if you haven't experienced this yet, either you're a support main or you just play fill.

No I am a top main. And I haven't been autofilled in almost two years I don't think. So my anecdotes are the opposite.

So you select top secondary in hopes of not getting put top and now you're mad that you're getting top? Just learn an easy support like Nami and que Mid/ADC. You trying to game the system is just hurting you

I've tried mid/adc and I get ADC the same amount I get top.

Then stop queing up expecting to only ever mid. Learn an off role well enough that you're not total luggage in game. I que Top/jungle but can still play Leona, Nami and Soraka support well enough to get by, I can play Lux mid if needed, and I'd never que for ADC but I can Quinn(as a top laner but bot), Ashe and MF and not feed.

Seriously, learn a little Nami. She's fun, proactive and rarely banned. Vi is a good choice for jungle but Sejuani is also p strong. Top lane I'd go Fiora or Illaoi, they're not too hard to learn but good at snowballing and steam rolling.

Tips to avoid autofill:

Never queue for longer than the ETA, unless you don't mind being opted to your secondary role.

Never accept a game after someone dodges, because you will 90% of the time be autofilled.
