Super easy first step towards sandbox mode

Dear Rito,

If you think sandbox is too big of a project, or simply don't want to implement it, here's a great alternative that I am fairly certain would be much, much easier to implement over a short term:

#Add a rewind command to custom games

All the history of the game is already stored over the course of the game. That's how spectating games are delayed by a few minutes and can rewind. And we know spectate actually recreates the game locally from that information (i.e. it's not a video recording). So it should be straightforward to allow custom game players to (by agreement, leader decision, or whatever) /rewind <time> to go back a little bit. Think of the benefits:

  • Organized teams scrimmaging can re-play teamfights or other important moments. My soccer coaches used to do this all the time in a scrimmage: blow the whistle and say "Hey! Wait a minute. This is a mistake we make all the time in-game... instead of <decision/tactic A>, we should <decision/tactic B> in situations like these. Try it again." restarts play
  • Junglers can practice optimal first clear paths and first item choices. With rewind, they won't need to wait to load and for creeps to spawn every repetition.
  • Laners can practice laning early or late. With rewind, you don't need to waste ten-fifteen minutes just to get practice with mid-game mechanics.

I'm sure board users can think of plenty of other good uses. Comment yours! Maybe with enough activity this could catch a red's eye.
