People who thought, wow adc is great but I hate supports so why dont I rain down cancer upon the top lane. My friend did top quinn and I had a grudge agianst him for awhile.......He laughed everytime he faced the new GP.

In all truth, you can play a champ in any lane u wish. Top is not reserved for just melee champs or whatever. If i want to play Quinn or Jayce top, I can.

Meta is flexible. Want to counter an adc top? Play a ranged mage. Lissandra, Ryze, Vlad. Top has never been exclusively melee, and to the people who can't adapt to shifts in the meta, your tears are delicious.

Why teemo and gnar? because they've been there longer? Soraka top got gutted, but it was a thing long before gnar even existed. Time doesn't justify anything.

It's not only for melee champs wtf. Gnar is a good pick, he's ranged. Earlier in the season Liss was a good top laner, she's ranged. We have nidalee from last season. And that's just in pro play, there are plenty of other ranged tops in soloq. Teemo, swain, cass, and vlad. And there are plenty more I don't care to name right now. It's called counterpicking and playing smart. If you want to win, that's what you do.

Yea, the outlasting "can't touch dis" bruiser. You're only screwed against sustain-heavy champs like lategame Vlad, everyone else is not allowed to escape nor to reach the carries... And they dare say that we're useless for the team.

I've nvr seen a vayne top before and quinn i see often since free rotation. But i get faced up against ranged champs often up top. I use Jayce and i get the best of both worlds.

Vayne top stopped when they added the new devouer, then they just went bot or jungle. Jayce top isnt annoying because his range is fine and can still be countered but ADC tops shred melees and alot of top laners

Huh? How is Jayce easier to counter than an ADC when he has all of their strengths at range but is also competent fighting in melee range and has immense disengage?

Cuz you dont buid attack speed on jayce, you build damage and crit. Also his e has a long cooldown and his q can easily be dodged, and if he goes hammer mode on you, you can easily throw some damage on him. Also Vayne has a stack, a roll forward or back, her passive is she moves faster when near you, has more range than jayce, and has an r that makes her invisiable.

I think you meant Yorick, but I don't entirely disagree.

Quinn top only works if you know how to convert your lane pressure into objectives, which is why it doesn't get played a whole lot by solo players.

The game starts at champion pick.

Its your fault you choose one an unsafe champion on one of the most counterpick reliant lanes of the game.

Honestly? You sound like a salty Riven main that got counterpicked and thus could not make ''plays'' against other melees with less broken kits.

I think 70% is an exageration. Even then, countepicks will always going to have big winrate %. Why? Because they are counterpicks. They get creamed by basically everything that they cant counterpick, at the cost of creaming what they counterpick. When they choosen, they are expected to win. No one will choose an unfavorable pick, much less on toplane.

The same happened with Heimerdinger when the assassin/early gank meta was reigning. People didnt what to adapt and get far from their mid assassins Zed/Kata/Fizz or Lee Sin/VI/J4 early gank junglers. Even if picking Lux/Xerath/Ziggs/LB/Syndra/Brand/Malzahar is an easy lane against a Heimerdinger.

I play top quin, sorry brah. Yeah it's strong, she can zone and harass really well and post 6 is extremely hard to gank. The key to being relevant mid/late game is to not build AS/IE and rather focus on CDR and armor pen. Black cleaver, youmuu's, and last whisper are your friends with some life steal in there. Because then your role in team fights is to spam poke/blinds with Q, shred armor and then assassinate low targets running off with bird form. If you try to get into the thick of things to spam autos you'll just become another adc your team needs to peel, and since you're secondary that generally means you'll just die.
