Tank metas are like winter: People act like they want it to happen
Until the first snowfall, then they remember why they hate tank metas

Except people like me who really actually do like winter and snow and loves every second it's there. Similarly, I enjoy tank metas most.

oh boy nothing like being helplessly walked at because you dared pick something that wasn't a tank or a tank killer and your ult doesn't even scratch them
Almost anyone can be a tank killer with the proper itemization. I actually find that strategic and fun.
Idk with how the meta is right now, that a tank meta would be possible to have happen. Damage and defensive ignoring is through the roof.

Tbf I consider Ornn, Sion, Urgot to all be Juggernauts (Large delays/immobile) while WW is a Fighter (Mixed damage and self healing).

Not really. The likes of Garen/Darius/Illaio would crush the both of them via sheer melee prowess.

Darius? Yeah. Garen or illaoi? nah they'll get crushed beneath the fury of mount targon

Garen deals true damage to his Villain (Why else would he be fighting them?) and Illaoi has massive in combat sustain and DPS thanks to her tentacles.

Sure, let him deal true damage while permastunned by a leona taric duo, taric does a lot of damage.
and illaoi? Taric isn't phased by tenticles
Ornn and Sión are pure tanks, Urgot sure is a Juggernaut.

I think their CC is too unreliable/delayed to qualify them as tanks. Especially when assassins are able to kill their targets in literally under a second. How do you plan to stop Zed from murdering your Twitch as Orrn? Both QE, Wauto, and RR all take significant time to pull off. Same for Sion. His Q needs a full second to charge. Not only that, but it also gets stopped by hard CC and can't be re-aimed.

But they have way more CC than Juggernauts. Sion was first, then Ornn was designed similarly, less reliable but higher impact when he hits, just with stronger CC in his case. But they were still tanks. These are the Vanguard, engaging, tanks.
Difference being that they’re Vanguard tanks. They are less about stopping that Zed and more about starting big fights. Stopping Zed is more for Galio, Shen, Braum, Poppy, or Taric, the Warden, or defensive, tanks.

They can engage, but it's highly unreliable. I associate "Powerful, but slow and conditional" as being a key part of the juggernaut identity. Compare the speed and reliability that Amumu, Rammus, Maokai, and Sejuani can start a fight in comparison to Sion and Ornn. The former group is significantly faster and more reliable with their initiation than the latter.

Might want to adjust that, since that was the general direction they took Sejuani and Maokai as well with Mao’s ult and Sej’s E. Amumu also relies on hitting a Q first, and Rammus is similar to Sej in being single target focused.
Be regardless of their reliability, no Juggernaut can engage a fight like Sion or Ornn, especially Ornn since he can get multiple multi-target knock-ups.
In the end, Ornn and Sion are primarily Vanguards. Juggernauts are defined by their minimal mobility, CC and high damage. Tanks are focused around their durability and CC.

Juggernauts are like... the first cousins of tanks, but like... their parents were twins so they're more like siblings than like cousins
anyways sion is sorta a 50/50 juggernaut tank hybrid
ornn is just a whoopsie in terms of released champions, he's either an issue or trash from what i've seen since his release

Urgot, definitely Juggernaut. Sion and Ornn, tanks, through and through. WW...I think he’s supposed to still be a diver, so yeah, a fighter.
Defensive oriented champs and comps are certainly viable .
I play overshock reksai and it is honestly amazing just requires different play style.
I hate both tank meta & assassin meta In tank meta u cant do sh#t and cant deal dmg at all In assassin meta you cant do sh#t to survive So yea, those 2 suck
I hate both but At least , in assassin meta , you can kill them , in tank meta , you can't kill tanks
In all honesty we're in a fighter meta moreso than an assassin meta, it's the best of both worlds... if you play a fighter... which i do.. so unkillable and 1shotting
nice
That depends on how you define tank meta. Do you mean tanks outdamaging? Dislike that. I play tanks to be less damage focused. If by tank meta we’re talking about a meta where defense is more valuable and tanks have impact, yeah, love that. Then again, I generally enjoy winter, so...

Sure, but tank meta the last several times around has amounted to tanks that can 1shot you while not being killable or having counterplay without flash... and then the adcs they're knights vowing/zekesing to
Seriously my options in those metas are to pick a tank, pick vayne, or die.
in an assassin meta you can pick a tank and do well, you can pick a mage, an adc, a fighter, and you can do well.

So, reality check for the record, tanks don’t “oneshot”. Even the ones that have frontloaded damage have trouble killing nearly as fast as a fighter, mage, assassin, or adc. A tank couldn’t do it in one rotation, requiring more abilities over time, also meaning they consumed a lot more mana. The biggest tank meta we had, in Season 5, was mainly a result of Cinderhulk, which didn’t cause oneshotting unless the user had a high health ratio on a skill, to the point where it was taken on lane tanks instead of Sunfire (should say a lot about Sunfire).
You’re other options are to play a dps fighter, like jax, maybe build a Cleaver or new Guinsoo’s, or both, instead of trinity. Also the possibility that if your fighter is designed more for killing squishier champs, you shouldn’t have as good a time against tanks, but you can still have a place in taking out their carry. You can also try Fiora for the true damage proc, or play a dps ADC and..maybe...build crit and penetration, a GA to survive against an assassin/diver. 3 items get you almost max crit. Room for GA, lifesteal, and an armor pen item. Even new IE is better against tanks.
Or maybe Trundle, the juggernaut that steals tank stats, or a number of other Juggernauts cause they have some tools for fighting tanks like armor pen/shred, synergize well wth Cleaver.
Tank meta, you can play an assassin and do well by taking out the carry, same as divers. Early game champs are there to try and shut down late game carries, and can also now benefit more from plating. Mages are also useful against stopping fighters and assassins, and can also kill squishies, also forcing tanks to not invest in all Armor and health. DPS mages can be especially good against tanks. Fighters have tools to deal with tanks, they just need to use them. Or not and focus another aspect. tanks can’t split push or take towers nearly as well as fighters, which is a viable strategy.
In an assassin meta, damage is usually out the wazoo and carries get blown up in almost an instant.
I would also love to add the fact if Tanks were to be allowed to exist in this meta, they could actually idk, do something about carries being one shot, locking up burst champs, etc. Ya know, the things that might save people from being instagimped without counterplay?
