Nidalee Q (Cougar Form) + Stormrazor

Takedown (Q in Cougar Form) empowers Nidalee's next basic attack with 75 increased range, and is modified to deal magic damage increased by 0.75% (+0.25% per rank in R) (Remember that Nidalee starts with 1 rank in R and Cougar Form abilities scale with R) for every 1% of the target's missing health.

When the target is marked with Hunt, the damage is increased by 40%.

Since this is a basic attack, it can critically strike as normal.

And once again, this is all dealt as magic damage.

This could make for some interesting builds.

It does not need to be all AD either. None of Nidalee's other abilities really scale with AD, and fortunately Takedown also scales with AP. She can still benefit from gaining additional critical strike chance from one of the Zeal items or by doubling her critical strike damage with Infinity Edge. Also, AD is pretty much always a good stat for junglers.

Unfortunately the crit damage is calculated from her AD stat for this ability. I was just testing because this sounded cool but it only gives you the same bonus damage you get on normal crits. It's kinda like how sheen doesn't get amplified by crit.

Even so, you are still dealing a lot of mixed damage. Your regular auto attacks are still able to crit normally, and the added AD and Attack Speed are definitely useful. Then Takedown basically becomes an execute ability. Deal all of her other forms of damage up front, Javelin Toss, Pounce, and Swipe to get their health as low as possible, then Takedown for a massive chunk. This would also benefit from Spellblade as well. The ability details say that all damage is converted, including bonus damage from Sheen, Iceborn Gauntlet, and Trinity Force. You can of course still use Lich Bane.

I had already tried it out in a normal match. It felt pretty good to me. It is a slightly different playstyle, but I think with some practice and finding a preferred build, it could be perfectly viable.

I'm actually thinking of trying it out item 3095 item 3094 item 3031 both in the jungle and in mid lane.

Well at this point you're playing AD nidalee because the benefit to her Q is very minimal since even when the enemy is at low hp, the crit damage is still the same as a normal attack crit. Your main way to get the target low with this build is by autoattacking.

In my experience autoattack nid builds deal a lot less damage than you'd expect from a champ with an attack speed steroid. I don't know what's up with it but I've never once gotten it to work.

That is true. I have always had a bad habit of wanting to play unconventional builds, and they are pretty much always sub-par, .. which makes sense because if they were as good or better, more people would play them, right?

I like this one though, because I don't think AD Nidalee really comes any closer to working otherwise.

Sorry for the double reply, but I wanted to be sure to make this point since I thought of it well after my other comment. Her built in attack speed steroid actually makes it so that she wouldn't need to wait as long between auto attacks in order to get the guaranteed critical strike. Theoretically, with her attack speed buffed, the time that it would take for her to start in Human Form Q, E, AA, R, W, E, Q, AA she could could crit both times. This is where the difference in playstyle and practice comes in.
