Why is Lux getting buffed?

I literally do not understand why she's getting buffed so much? It's bad enough more than half of the mid laners can't do shit against her, i don't get why she warrants these buffs at all?

She's like the only champion whose entire Kit is skill shots. She really isn't that hard to deal with in lane.

Is Ziggs that Xerath so Velkoz ? And the only time Lux E can be considered a skillshot is when the enemy has over 600 movement speed

Also it's really not that impossible to dodge her E. No matter how you look at it though, it's a skill shot.

Aside from her snare, all her skill shots are extremely generous and fast moving.

I also think that people overestimate the difficulty of skillshots, relative to other champ mechanics. Ya, she has to hit a lot of skillshots, but she's very low risk, she doesn't have to worry too much about positioning, she has very obvious and straightforward skill combos, etc. You basically just stand back and cast your skills on cooldown, and if you hit a snare, you dump your ult on top of it. I'm not saying she's the easiest champ in the game, but I definitely wouldn't say she's particularly mechanically intensive.

I agree she's not that bad to play against in lane. She can be pretty annoying late game, though. I'm not sure why Riot thought it was necessary to give her ult a 10 second cooldown if she scores a kill with it.

I agree, but you could say this about most mages.

Ziggs, Vel, Xerath, Ahri, Brand, Zyra, Veigar, Syndra.

You just sit behind your team in a fight and cast spells on CD, as far as mechanically dependent. They have to worry about the same factors a ADC does in positioning, while having a great deal of their damage come from skill shots. I definitely don't think skill shots are hard, but it's a lot harder then like right clicking. The fact most mages can't heal up after damage also makes there lives a bit harder.

I don't think Lux needed a big buff or anything, but if she wasn't doing great with that buff prior to the new buff then the new buff (or the one to her shield on PBE - actually I think this one will be the one to push her over the edge)prolly won't break her.

Cause she's barely played in high Elo. Too bad the buffs don't solve her problems in high Elo but make her super frustrating in low elo where it's easy enough to get resets. I already started struggling getting her. Anyway if you are having trouble against Lux mid a suggestion: Push her. Literally every meta midlaner has better waveclear then her so either you are an assassin (and you straight up kill her) or you are a mage and you force her under tower so she loses Cs and can't follow your roams. Also E has a 10 second cd so the moment she uses it trade her. The only free lane I can think of at the moment is Annie so I honestly don't have idea how you can be shitted on with more than half midlaners

Because Lux sells skins. And if there is no recent release of a new skin to coax people into buying them via sheer hype, you buff the champ so people play her, and want her to look even cuter...

I really hate laning against Lux and even me of all people is thinking she is a little weak and the minion/manaband change pretty much made her worse.

I hate the lux buff, mage buffs, but most of all I HATE ULTIMATE CD buffs in general. Ultimates have become basically just another regular ability with unbelievable 30 sec cds. How are you ever supposed to play around anything anymore. Seriously wtf...

they say it is to make support Lux a viable role too....

but I'm guessing they forgot the part of game after the laning phase. like giving a 220+ shield to a diving bruiser who'll also nuke the carry with enhanced AA

Cause Lux at high ELO = 36th/41 champs in the mid lane meaning there are only 5 champions currently doing worse than she is and two of those are Lucian and Galio who shouldn't even count.
