I main her and havnt played yet. Did it really hurt her that bad? I was nearly killing people in 2 secs like rengar with her before nerf.

Elise with Runic Echos was extremely unfair and unbalanced. Not only would her W in Human Form proc it, but it would do shit tons of damage. Plus, elise has been relevent for the past 6 months. She deserved these nerfs.
