Whats your weakness that holds you back?

For me, its my lack of motivation to broaden my champion pool. I very much enjoy OTP-ing offmeta picks, and the lack of flexibility sometimes puts me in a position where i counter pick myself. For the past 3 seasons i have almost exclusively played, Nocturne top and Leona jungle. I am able to get deep into Plat easily, but i cannot break into diamond doing this, and im aware its because im not playing champion select the way i should be to maximize my chances of winning. I dont have bad games, but because i ignore the matchups there are many games where me doing well is irrelevant/and or i cant push my lead into a win.

But i do have fun, and Plat1 isnt all that bad. I guess.

My biggest problem right now is the fact that I can't CS for shit. I definitely have other things holding me back, but most of it is just that I'm actually terrible at CSing.

I must have a skin before I bother learning a champion to add to my pool.

No idea why.

i think subconciously i don't like the pressure of playing a champion like Ekko, who in theory should be able to win the game by himself. Then when i lose as Ekko, the loss literally is my fault in a sense.

Its fun to play simple things who people don't expect to do well(Nocturne top for example). I like that there's no pressure on me to over perform and hard carry the game with my broken mechanics. And i like the feeling of surprising people when i go 5-0 in lane, and do in fact carry the game as something off-meta with basically no mechanics whatsoever

i completely avoid mechanically overloaded champions. They turn me off, because i feel like they have no good excuse to lose. My list of mains over the years.. Sion(the original) Pantheon(the original) Mordekaiser(The original) Miss Fortune/Twitch Bot or Jungle Trundle Jungle/Top/Support Leona Jungle>support Nocturne Top>jungle.

My preference is clearly quite simple, lol.

Me? I'm used to trusting my teams and going in on my setups so much that when I go down to low elo to experiment, I overextend too much, trusting a team to go in....... and then they just stand still and watch, or at best, come in 4 seconds later. I also overestimate their ability to be saved, and sometimes try to help someone caught out when I should just let them die.

High Elo Support problems in low elo...

If I knew what my weaknesses were, I'd be Diamond instead of Gold.

Mentality.

Hmmmm. Probably taking too much control. I refuse to play champions who cannot impact my allies lanes.

If I’m top I’m playing gp If I’m jungle I’m playing Kayn If I’m mid I’m playing tf If I’m adc I’m playing Ezreal/jinx/Ashe If I’m support I’m playing senna

Exact same haha. I get stuck OTPing Off Meta picks. I only play one champ for a long period of time and then I switch to another off-meta pick and do that for a while. Rinse. Repeat.

Right now I'm playing Sivir top. Before that it was Leona top and then Janna top. I don't switch either so if Sivir gets banned I'm usually out of there. I don't know, once I get used to a champion's kit, I really only want to play them.

I've climbed into Silver every season doing this so I find it fun. I would like to get to Gold on this account but I think what happens is by the time I really feel like I've mastered my champion and start climbing, I'm ready to switch to some other off-meta thing and start the process over again.

Picking mostly late game scaling champs as my mains (Jax MasterYi ), yeah sometimes i can get early ganks off, but if the laners are pretty even skill and the enemy Jg is an earlygame Jg and knows what he's doing He's gonna have a lot more early map impact than i will.

I put too much emphasis on outfarming/outscaling the enemy jg (and team) and then carrying thru teamfights and such, and i think its arguable that b/c of that I lose the earlygame hard enough sometimes that it snowballs out of control.

My biggest weakness is in fact NOT one tricking more often. My very best champs are Shyvana and Malphite and I let my boredom get the better of me and play champs I have no idea how to play to the fullest.

What holds me back is the way i constantly blame teammates and refuse to acknowledge my own mistakes in game. Working on it, but it's a hard broken reflex...
