one of the bigger but less known about differences between league and Dota 2 is the shared exp boost

And it is a huge part of the reason why lane swapping was not considered risky in the first place.

With no real level advantage to be gained for the solo who is going to at best be level 6 when the duo is level 5 the duo will stay dominant even past the first few minutes even if they do not punish the solo in any noticeable way.

Riot did not decided to remove this 30.4% increase on exp when it is share and add some other way for supports to get exp. Instead they decided to combat the lane swap by making bottom turret weaker and add first turret gold which has spawned it's own problems of bot lane getting heavily focused more often then not.

If they get rid of this first turret gold or weaker turret bot they will still have the same fundamental problem of lane swapping.

Treating the symptom instead of the source.

Giving the person who has a nail in their foot an aspirin instead of removing the nail.

Yet it would be less of a problem from what you said? Am I reading this incorrectly?
