Is Sivir good in Solo Q?

I've seen Sivir played in Pro over and over again. But in solo Q at my level, I have yet to see a good sivir. I know Sivir works very well with good team communication, but does the lack of communication make Sivir a bad pick for low elo solo Q? I know her spell shield and her late game is insane, but I feel like her early game is where she gets beat up.

Can someone please tell me if 1) She is good in Solo Q and 2) If she is, how to play her well? Thanks and I look forward to all of the tips!

Her R is op AF atm, and is a very strong pick

Yes, spell shield makes for an easy lane phase. With ricochet critting now (wtf were they thinking with this) you don't have to be fancy with the teamfight mechanics, turn W on and just auto the tank and the ricochets will find their way to the squishies.

Yeah pretty much. She is easy to wave clear and team fight with, especially since they made her W over the top with the criting ricochets.

A particularly good sivir will be able to basically get perfect cs in lane with her wave clear combo shenanigans (note: I'm an awful sivir), and be able to do so safely due to her spellshield.

If she has a good jg/sup, then she can use her ult to get kills, otherwise it's just another safety tool to use for escapes.

Proceed to win lane off of cs (and potentially tower first blood), snowball from there until your w crits melt through teamfights, win game.

In theory anyway. Putting that into practice is obviously a little trickier, particularly the 'snowball from there' part.

I found that he w and q does almost no damage at low levels though, I know personally when I play Ashe I just wait for her to burn her Q and W, then I poke and volley. I usually end up winning trades that way. Any advice for this? If I was Sivir I mean.

I think the first back or two are a bit rough until her combo actually can fully wave clear. Potentially save q/w for trades rather than waveclearing until you actually can waveclear effectively with them. Play relatively safe and hope jg/sup can keep you from getting too roughed up until that point.

I think. Again I don't actually play sivir, I just support them generally.
