Aatrox's rework should take inspiration from Soul Calibur

In Soul Calibur the main antagonist is a living sword named Soul Edge that slowly corrupts the user driving them insane while demanding blood and power. What if Aatrox's found the sword he uses (For idea purposes we'll name it The Soul Sword) and overtime he began to realize that its power, while seemingly a blessing, was more of a curse and he now had to constantly wage wars and fight battles to keep the sword blood quenched as well as keep it from devouring him himself - The sword cursed him, and because of this curse he is forever bound to it.

I personally feel this idea thematically is amazing for Aatrox and I even developed a kit to sort of fit this idea.

Just an idea.

Aatrox - The Accursed Wielder

**Passive - Curse Of The Soul Blade ** Eternal Curse: Aatrox's Soul Blade stores the blood of his victims into his Blood Well granting him attack speed for every point inside of it. Upon reaching maximum blood well he becomes infused with power, granting him massive attack damage. However, when Aatrox has exited combat for to long the Blood Well begins to deplete and Aatrox's Soul Sword slowly punishes him for his incompetence, dealing damage to him every few seconds points are lost inside his Blood Well. This effect can not reduce him to below 5% health. Everlasting Blood: When Aatrox is reduced to 1 health he enters stasis, becoming untargetable and invulnerable and restoring health every second based on how much blood is stored in his Blood Well while simultaneously draining it. This portion of the passive has a massive cool down and while its on cool down Eternal Curse no longer grants massive attack damage upon obtaining maximum Blood Well.

Q - Dark Flight Aatrox becomes untargetable for 0.5 seconds as he levitates into the air and then slams a nearby area, knocking up all enemies and gaining points in his blood well for every enemy struck which is further increased for enemy champions. Costs health.

W - Blood Thirst/Blood Price Toggle Off - Blood Thirst: The Soul Blade heals Aatrox every third auto attack which is massively enhanced against enemy champions and further increased if Aatrox is below a % amount of health. Toggle On - Blood Price: The Soul Blade deals bonus physical damage every third auto attack on hit equal a percentage of Aatrox's attack damage as well as blood stored in his Blood Well and deals damage to Aatrox.

E - Sword Of Suffering Aatrox releases two energy waves in a direction dealing magic damage, slowing, and marking enemy champions and neutral monsters truck for a short duration. The marks can be detonated by Aatrox's auto attacks and abilities dealing bonus magic damage and stunning the target and for every mark that isn't detonated before its expiration will cause Aatrox to take damage. Costs health.

**R - Bloody Massacre ** The Soul Blade becomes enraged, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies equal to a base amount plus a percentage of their current health and storing blood in Aatrox's Blood Well for every enemy champion struck. Afterwards Aatrox's is driven beyond the limit for a 6 seconds, becoming immune to cc, gaining attack speed, and causing Blood Thirst & Blood Price to trigger simultaneously every third auto attack while amplifying their effects.

Interesting concept. Also, you're talking about Nightmare right? I hated facing Nightmare. But the idea of making Aatrox a mod in SC sounds like an idea to consider or vice versa. Then again I don't like facing Aatrox much either. Just like Xin Zhao. Where is my discussion actually going at this point?

Nightmare wields Soul Edge, but the blade merely views him as a tool to quench its thirst (much like how its viewed its previous wielders, althought Nightmare is the incarnation of Soul Edge but Soul Edge is more like a God while Nightmare would be a Jesus figure {an evil one}). The Sword doesn't truly care about its wielders at all but since its a sword it technically needs them so it invades their minds like a parasite and plays them like a puppet.

Although I may be wrong, I might have to brush up on Soul Calibur lore.
