Does Jin NEED a snare?
let alone a snare from 5 miles away?

Yes. He's slow and immobile. Most ADC's either have a dash or some form of cc. Jhin has a snare and traps.
Caitlyn has a dash AND a snare x3 Ashe has permaslows and a stun MF has slows Lucian/graves have dashes for days. Ezreal blinks. Vayne's knock back.
So yeh. And it's ominous as HELL when you get snared and jhin comes running up to blow you away with that magic gun of his.
I've played him a bit. I honestly thought he needed to hit you with his traps to snare. Apparently he can snare you if an ally of his hits you.
Was great to know.
It's his only form of actual self peel. Like Vayne's Condemn or Caitlyn's net, it's a defensive ability (that can be used offensively) meant for escaping.
Obviously it can be used offensively.
Its not actually. He has very reliable slow traps.
And if it was only for peel, then it certainly doesnt need to have range off the screen.

Hahahahahahaha.
If by reliable you mean, "can walk straight through to avoid the damage" then yes, it is very reliable.
As for his range, meh. It doesn't hit through multiple targets last I checked, so if he hits you from max range without hitting anything else then congrats on him.
Obviously youve never played ADCs in your life because his traps arent used to damage, they are used to slow down enemies that are chasing you, which they are very effective at.
it goes through minions, which is already bullshit because they said "how can we improve
W?"
I've played ADC, can't say I've played it well because I don't like being squishy and constantly misjudge how long my AA range actually is (what can I say, I'm not perfect).
I've played Jhin a bit, kinda enjoy him but I don't like using his traps much. So I guess I'll consider using them as I run away instead of placing them down a head of time.
Yup just throw them in the path of the
chasing you or whatever. Dont use them at all before a teamfight. I rarely throw a trap with the intent of "im gonna nuke someone", its more like "gtfo"
Good advice. I'll take that to heart whenever I practice ADC.
Jhins flowers do amazing damage , the slow aspect of them is pretty much that same as a 20% slow which is pretty useless
Hahahahahahaha.

It hits multiple targets, just not multiple champions. Minions won't stop the snare, in fact minions also woudl take full damage,

I would hardly call Jhin's traps "very reliable slow" because you set them and pray your opponent steps in them so you can mess them up. They have life bars, they can be destroyed, they are easy to move out of, and minions can trigger them. Reliable, they ain't. Caitlyn, contrarily, has a trap you can't target or get rid of unless it times out or someone steps in. She can cast it under people for immediate roots and massive damage, and she can stock like 4 of them at a time. Her traps are reliable. Jhin's are not.
Not sure if retarded. When somebody is running at you in a straight line, you throw a trap in their path that is instantly armed. They will run through it and get slowed/snared or run around it. Caitlyns traps are only as reliable as your enemies are stupid, since they have like a 2 second arm time and a tiny hitbox.

Except jhins do have an arm time and the enemy can see where you put them down if they're running at you lmao. The only way an enemy will get slowed by a trap is if they have tunnel vision on you and aren't watching you put down the trap
I'm not sure if you're retarded caitlyn. You made a rant about a champ who probably rekt you and you come on here with your smug attitude when people correct you. Idk what you expected but you obviously arent ok with accepting the facts. Which most of these comments are. If you are looking for a name calling scream match maybe you should try an elementary school playground. Refer to Mistress Shyvana's comment for my thoughts on the matter. Enjoy the down votes to your meaningless comments and post.
Caitlyn is a well-known troll on these boards. Just check his/hers post history.
Ah so I'm wasting my time with a no-lifer. Thanks for the heads up.
how are they reliable? you can pop it just to walk right out of it
jhin is fairly immobile, its his way of not getting face fkd by volibear/garen. if hes in range to crit them, hes dead
Doesnt need range off the screen.
?
He is a sniper. Unless you are some sort of locked camera noob, his abiilities arent "off the screen"
I'm a locked-camera noob, and I can juke his snares easily.
Caitlyn doesnt need an ult off screen or headshot harass off screen.
In three seconds, OP is going to say "Why downvotes," because he's always posting salty threads.
Yes and yes. Go back to defending Caitlyn from any and all criticism that can be aimed at her.
I set up 10 traps, baited them in with a pink, and snared them inside. I managed to pull this bait off 4 times with my team, one of which got me a triple, just from traps.
Why downvotes?
Jhin is very immobile until he reaches late game, and even then, he's pretty immobile against anyone that is not a wall of meat
his only saving grace is he can snare people as long as they've been attacked, and that even then isn't always easy when there are assassins coming at you from nowhere

yes
the real question is does jhin need to really be able to fight at melee range.
I don't know, it would help if people had the brain to not just stand in the middle of what's probably one of the thinnest skillshots in the whole game that has a pre-indicator of its firing line?
