that when you get autofilled into a position youre bad at you play with worse players so youre not feeding in a hopeless game and therefore dragging everyone else down.

I'm saying they made the system only slightly better but doesn't affect the outcome of the game overall still. Hence, why I said a shiny turd is still a turd. That is not non-sequitur just because you disagree. That is not how fallacies work.

no, its a non sequitur because your opinion on whether the change is significantly better or not has nothing to do with the discussion of how the system works or whether there was a point to it.

The fact is that people don't want to play these games that are not working towards their main goal. If your goal is to get your mid rank to plat or something why even try to win when put as support? People are going to be throwing up /ff at 15 a lot more and not trying because to them it is literally a waste of time.

The fact is that people don't want to play these games that are not working towards their main goal. If your goal is to get your mid rank to plat or soemthing why even try to win when put as support? People are going to be throwing up /ff at 15 a lot more than usual.

because the points you win or lose in that game also affect your main role, and if you purposely try to lose in your offroles youre going to play in worse and worse games whenever you go into them and are thus setting yourself up for more time playing terrible games?

And nobody cares because it's only a minor amount and people don't want to waste time playing what they don't want to play. People dodge to get out of queues of trolls, griefers, and banned champions. This isn't something new. You lose LP for dodging. It really isn't as big a deal as you make it.

except that the amount you lose scales with the difference in your ranks, as they stated in the preview. So if you tank your off roles youll start seeing significant losses in your main.

Which still won't prevent dodging because at that point many people would rebel against the system anyway at some point in the near future and tell Riot to go f themselves. It has happened before and it will happen again. Also, if you are a support main, this really doesn't affect you as much as other roles. I can dodge every 20-50 games and nothing will happen.

ok, so people will continue to dodge games they dont want to play, but those that dont will be put into games theyre more likely to be able to win. Net gain.

Autofill literally means you don't have to try because it does not impact your main positions rank. So if you are a midlaner main and hate playing support you literally can just half ass try if that for the game because it will have no impact on your mid rank. As I saw video if u loose the game on off-role your LP loss will be split so it also touches your main role.

Dynamic queue is far worse than what we have now.

As long as riot insists on keeping autofill, the ranked ladder cannot work without position based mmr. It makes zero sense for autofill games to fully count against your main role.
